It was my chose given my family history. Lucky you that you didn't have to see a psych. My insurance requires it. My meeting was nice. I had to wait along time but I have the patients. I think Dr.O was suprised with the list of questions I had for him. He knew what he was talking about but kind of treated me like an idiot. I drive truck now, but I have a college ed in Medical Laboratory so I had a good idea what he was talking about. How long of class was the nutrition deal? Did you have it with alot of people? Do they have the class every week or don't you know? How close to your surgery did you have to attend it? Well I'm gonna try and get my ducks in a row for Dr.G. I need to schedule a psych eval and pulmonary exam. I plan on doing this in the morning so I can get in after seeing Dr.G. Have any suggustions on whom to see? Thanks, Kelly

Becky, Thank you so much for the prayer. After reading your story about a month ago, I've had everyone on the south dakota board in my prayers. I'm glad things are going well for you. I talked with Dr.Gs nurse cheryl and she seems very nice. She has helped me set up all of my appointment's for april so we can the ball rolling after my preexisting condition clause is over with. I have had such butterflies, my stomach is so upset. I can sort of imagine what all of you have gone through. I can't wait untill it's my turn. Anyways, how have things been for you since your rebirth? Have you been feeling ok? How is the post op thing going for you? Kelly

I am having Lap Band surgery on Feb and have BC/BS and had to do the phsyc eval which consisted of a 565 T/F questioniare that was geared towards those suffering from depression it took 1 1/2 hours plus the time I talked with the Physc. I also just completed the Pulmanary screening and EKG that BC/BS requires within a month before surgery. Next wednsday I will have my visit with the nutritionist and then TH I have surgery. I hope this helps

You are welcome. I will let you know how my meeting with the nutritionist goes. Getting approval went very quickly for me with BC/BS. Once they sent in my paperwork from Dr Obrians office it took 6 days for them to approve me and I am a low risk candidate. I have no diabetes, cholesterol is OK, etc. My family history and of course my BMI of 40 + is what probably got me approved. I am starting to get nervous about this but continue to pray God has brought me this far he will bring me thru complete deliverance of this sin in my life ...FOOD overindulgance!!!! What an awful sin the whole world can see it other people. Take care let me know how you are doing. Kristie
