hi i am new and had surgery the day before Thanksgiving!

If you had asked me a couple days ago I would have said what a dumb thing to do but now that I am feeling better I am ready to take this weight loss thing on. I had Dr. O'Brien as a surgeon, he was very helpful, concerned and caring. I am looking forward to help an support from online friends. Thanks

I agree the timing might have been a bit difficult - depending on what you usually do on Thanksgiving. However, just think what a Christmas gift you've given yourself. Congratulations - and welcome to the "losers' side". It is a wonderful place to be. Are you going to go to the support meetings available through Sioux Valley Hospital?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I did try to attend a support meeting in Brookings but no one was there so i have to check out another one or find out what is going on. Things are going pretty well. It will be nice to "chew" something soon. Do you attend any meetings? Thanks

I just wanted to say 'hi' and congratulations! I am having the surgery with Dr. Obrien on the 6th. I am both anxious and excited. Hope your recovery goes smoothly!
