Looking for any information about lap banding

My title pretty much says it all. I asked a surgeon about it. He told me about it. I'd really like to hear from people who've had it done or who are going to. I really want this done, but I'm really scared. My mum had the gastric bypass 20+ yrs. ago. She was so sick. I know the surgeries are completely different, one thing I'm really concerned about is vomiting and always having an upset stomach. Does that happen a lot?

Not sure where in SD you are, but in Mitchell there is the Mitchel Bariatric Center. they do the lap band and i'm sure would be able to answer any of your questions. let me know if you'd like their number..... Ruth Ann

I am looking into having the lap band surgery-- i have had a consultation with Dr O'Brien and waiting on insurance approval--- I don't have a lot of info because i have not been banded yet--but hopefully soon--- the lap band board is very helpful with any questions about the actual procedure and what the recovery is like-- drop me a message if you can think of any questions i can answer-- Good Luck Sweetie!!
