Lap Band WLS support group(s) in Sioux Falls?

I had Lap Band on 8/21/06. I would liek to find if there are any Lap Band support groups in Sioux Falls that I can attend every so often. Thanks!

On second thought, I don't know about support groups. Support from peers is great and all; but, you gotta admit, these kinds of support groups are probaly 90% married women. With guest speakers like plastic surgeons, and recipe book authors. No offense or nothing, but guys are different. We aren't really wired to hear about arts and crafts, antiquing, and stuff like that. So I dunno anymore, really.

im not sure how they are i havent been to one yet but plan to attend the one here in pipestone on monday. I hope you can find something i think support outside is just as important as inside your own circle. I tried i just gave you the info. Good Luck Kathy

Ummmm, I'm not a lap bander, but in the support groups i have gone to, in california and here in mitchell, there were guys there AND us ladies did NOT talk about arts and crafts, antiquing or any stuff like that.....we talked about our surgeries and any issues we are having with lossing weight....I hope you'll at least attend 1 support group and find out that they are not what you think Ruth Ann

you silly man, we don't go to support groups to do arts, crafts, etc.....we go for support on situations we deal with concerning the lap band surgery.
