thanks! Do you know if you have to have had your surgery at Palmetto Baptist? I had mine at Lexington and I don't think they have this type of support group.

 That is wonderful news!!! I'll call his office right away. I had to pay 11,000 for my surgery. Something is wrong with my band; and I don't have the money to go to the bariatric dr to get it fixed. If the insurance co. retired teacher will pay for this, i can lose weight again. 
I'm calling now. Thanks for the info.

Support Group – The support group is designed to meet the needs of patients who are two or more years post-surgery. The group meets the second and fourth Monday of each month from 12–1 p.m.at the Weight Mangement Center and the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 6:30–8 p.m. in Meeting Room 2 of the Breast Health Center (1501 Sumter St., Columbia, SC 29201). For more information, call 803-376-5982.

It's safe to say that if your current PCM thought this was the way to go for you to lose weight then your future PCM will think so too.  As long as the doctor's reasons are listed in your file and you have documentated information about your battle with the weight then you should have nothing to worry about.  Also since Tri-Care approved it before I think they will do it again.  Let me know how it goes for you.  Good Luck!

Hey Cathy, I don't have any immediate ideas but i posted this ink the other day and I think say there is some hope that this may become a reality.  Please call your Senator and Congressman and voice your opinion and asked them to support of this important bill, if passed it could change the lives of some many people.....
