Sometimes men just need their eyes opened to what they have. Sorry it was a rough time, but glad it worked out in the end.
Sorry to hear about Susans mom...she is in our prayers.

Topic: RE: Carowinds...
I haven't been to Carowinds in years but last time I went I weighed about 180 pounds and I didn't have trouble on any of the rides. When I went to six flags that same year some of the coasters were uncomfortable though. I have heard that most rides are made to accommodate people up to 250 pounds but I am not completely sure about that.

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is doing great and enjoying their new lives! I have an eight -year old son that is dying to go to Carowinds. The secret is...I am dying to go too! I am so concerned that I will not be able to fit on all the cool roller coasters and having to live with the embarrassment of the buckles not fitting. Has anyone been to Carowinds lately? If so, can you give me an idea of your weight and if you had any trouble fitting into the seats on the rides? I appreciate all the advice and help you guys can give!!!
Topic: Update on Mary's stepdaughter
Unfortunately Mary called this morning and said the doctors called them in for a meeting yesterday afternoon and said Linda had still not producing hemaglobin and it was time to wean her off the medicines. They don't feel like she will start producing it again and she may not make it through the day today.
Please keep Linda, Mary and the rest of their family in your thoughts and prayers today. I update as I hear.

Right now you need to worry about your liquids more than protein. Protein will come, but you have to keep hydrated. Try protien shakes. There are some good ones out there but you gotta try different things to find one you like. Try sugar free jello, sugar free popsicles, yogurt (dannon light is great). I think oranges may be too harsh on your "pouch" but everyone is different. I didn't do baby food either, just found things I could do. Another good one is scrambled eggs and oatmeal. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

I was craving OJ afer surgery and I got some tropicana light and healthy. 1/2 cal 1/2 sugar and drank a bit and the acid in it didn't bother me, but everyone is different. As far as yogurt goes I think it's ok as long as it doesn't have any added sugar( thats what my nut said) I understand where your comming from I'm getting bored myself and I can eat soft food right now. Don't worry each stage gets better at least it has for me. You just have to use trial and error with food some works some don't. Just keep trying. Let me know if you have anymore questions. P&PT's.
Topic: pureed stage
I had my surgery last friday so I am 6 days out. I am having a hard time because I will not eat baby food, gross.
And I am trying to eat as much prot as possible but I feel like I am running out of options. I went to publix and bought some turkey from the deli and blended it up and man it just didnt go down good. So so far the only form of protein I have had that sets well is the refried beans with some melted low fat cheese on it.
Has anyone eaten oranges in the pureed stage? I really love oranges but I am worried they might be to acidy...
Also yogurt I went to go buy some today and I was told by our nut class that dannon light and fit was good to get. But it has sugar in it?

ya, its already in the room, through the tv and theres like a wireless keyboard yo ucan just hold in your lap while in bed. Its great.
I hope you get andrea as your nurse. She is prob 45-50 yrs old. Short little white lady. She looks like sally fields, and she is just very very motherly. I had several nurses while I was there and she was the only one I looked forward to seeing.
