Topic: RE: 18 months out and a HUGE WOW
Wow, that is awesome, Chris. I am only 3 1/2 weeks out of surgery and I can't imagine being able to ride my bike down the street, let alone 131 miles. You are a true inspiration. I hope in 18 months I can accomplish something like that as well. Thanks for sharing your story. Melissa

Thank you Tanya. Actually when I got to work I just stayed for about 30 minutes, ate something, sat in our walk in cooler for awhile to cool off, drank alot, then headed back. I started at 7am and got back home at 8pm. Total biking time-according to this cool little thing I have on my bike was 9hrs. (I called it an odometer but the guy at the bike shop said --nooooooooo, its a "computer" really snooty like---same look I got when I asked him where is the kickstand on the bike? Supposedly road bikes do not get kickstands-go figure)
Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it!!

Topic: RE: say a prayer for my granddaughter
Mary,
I hope your granddaughter is okay, I will add her to my list of prayers. Don't worry, DHEC will investigate. My dog bit my son and he required stichtches on his arm (only 2). Our dogs were fighting and my son got in the middle. They are 1 year old Carolina dogs. DHEC was knocking at my door the next day. They observed the dogs for a little while, then we had to keep them quarantined for 10 days. The were not allow out without a leash, and we could not take them to the dog park. She came back in 10 days and re observed them to make sure they didn't show signs of rabies.
Call your local DHEC and inquire about when they are going to investigate the bite.

Hang in there, it will get better. You definitely need to sip, sip, sip. We can't drink too fast, so yes, you probably are walking around with a drink all the time. But I promise it gets better.
And you will be shocked at how fast the weight comes off....

Oh Mary, that is awful. I hope the police do what they should and make these people be accountable. I will keep your granddaughter in my prayers.

Mary, I am so sorry to hear about your grand daughter. That is really awful. And for another parent to not be concerned about what their dog did to another child is uncalled for. I know I personally would be beating their door down to get to them and to kill that dog that did that to my child. That poor baby she's going to not only be physically scarred for life but also going to have a fear of dogs as well. I'm so sorry. (((HUGS)))
Please let us know what happens and how her progress goes. I feel so bad for her. She will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers.

Chris, Oh my Goodness!! You are doing wonderful. What an inspiration you are to everyone on this board. 130 miles in one day is FANTASTIC give yourself a pat on the back from me.
How long did it take you to get there and back? Where did you get the energy to actually work after you finally arrived. WoW you are really impressive! This makes me tired just reading about it. LoL
Congratulations and keep up this magnificent work you are doing.
