Topic: Have first appt with surgeon
WOO HOO!! I have been scheduled for July 11th. Seems like I'll be meeting some of my new friends there, too. I bet he'll have that day booked by the end of this week. His nurse told me he is getting so busy with bariatric patients that he may soon have to stop seeing general surgery patients. I bet so especially since he'll be doing lapband now too. Just got excited and wanted to share some good news.

Topic: RE: Charleston folks
Yep that's a safe part of town. Close to the outlets.
What kind of food do your parents enjoy? Seafood I would suggest Hyman's or Hank's downtown Charleston. A W Shuck's is also really good.
You could take him on a carriage tour of downtown Charleston, Fort Sumter, to see the Hunley. The Air Force base and Navy base both offer discount tickets for a lot of things to do around the Charleston area.
Hope y'all enjoy your stay in Charleston and your dad meets up with some old friends from his ship.

I will be attending a navy reunion with my Dad in Sept, the hotel is the Ramada near the airport. Is this in an area that is OK? Also could you please recommend restarants and attactions that may interest my parents, he is 79 and in good health, able to enjoy historic tours and such. Thanks for your help.

Topic: Happy Monday-Everyone
Happy Monday-and a big thank you to everyone for your support. Feeling much better today-still off work-trying to stay busy-very bored. Tried some ham yesterday-very stupid I know, did not puree thought I could just chew it enough. I will not try that again for a long time. Back to smoothies and eggs. Have a great day everyone!!
