Welcome to my world 2 weeks ago, I am now 2 weeks post op and still glad I did it. The fears and everyone will tell you are normal. I almost cancelled my surgery. But great advice from this support group helped me thru. Stay stong and remember this is for you!!! no one else. JoAnn

From everything I've been told, this is perfectly normal. I'm 9 months out & have lost 140 pounds & a good amount of hair (and I didn't have that much to lose in the first place!), but Dr. Byrne told me that around your 9th month out of surgery it'll start coming back in. I'm getting my proteins & vitamins in & supplementing with some biotin, so it's just a waiting game now.

Hang in there - the benefits are worth it!

Congrats on your appointment date. My appointment is on July 11th too. The nurse also told me that. She even said they may be offering appointments every Friday instead of every other Friday. I even called to see if they had any cancellations for his next clinic but the person I spoke to said not only were they booked fully they were over booked.

I couldn't believe it. I guess a lot of people are in the process of having WLS. It's nice to see we aren't the only ones in this area.

Wanda, I went through the same emotions before my surgery. I think everyone does, but so far, it's been the best decision I could have made for myself. I'm only 6 weeks out and have lost 34 lbs, but already I feel better and have more energy. You will not regret it. Melissa
