I know that we all like to cut up and have a good time but I need to be serious I have known this man and worked with him for many years and he is a great man!  As many of you may already be aware, Ray Knight, an honorably retired patrol sergeant from the Lancaster Police Department, was viciously shot on Saturday, June 27, 2008.  Sgt. Knight along with his granddaughter stopped at an accident to see if they could help.  Unbeknownst to Sgt. Knight, the occupants had just committed an armed robbery and carjacking.  Sgt Knight was shot in the head by the driver of the wrecked vehicle with a .45 pistol.  He was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.  He has lost his right eye and it is questionable if he will regain full vision in his left eye.  The rising cost of gasoline and food is extremely taxing on the Knight family.  Chief Hugh White and his department have set up an account at BB&T for those who would like to donate to help defer cost for the family.  Anyone who would like to contribute can do so by mailing a check or money order to: BB&T 600 N Main St. Lancaster, SC 29720-2138 Checks should be made payable to BB&T.  In the “For” or “Memo” line simply write RAY KNIGHT.  Questions can be directed to BB&T and they can be reached at 800-226-5228.  I have attached a flyer to this email.  Will each of you please disseminate this email to your respective contacts.  Ray and his family also needs your prayers!  In addition to praying for him, will you please take the time to mail him a get-well card or a note?  It can be mailed to: Paul Ray Knight – Patient CMC – Main PO Box 32861 Charlotte, NC 28232   Thanks for all of your help! Today I took all my grand kids to the local Water Park and guess what I could ride the water slide It was so much fun.   the weight limit was 300 pounds and last summer I couldn't have rode it cause I was around 325 but to day at 185 the grand babies could ride on the same float with me down the slide.  And me and daughter number 1 were able to ride together...YIPPIE  it was Fun.....

I was concerned after surgery as to what to take for headaches and talked to Dr. Baker about it. She told me if the headache was really bad that I could take excedrin migraine(which is what I usually took before surgery) as long as my headaches were not too often and also make sure your pouch is full before you take anything that way you are preventing any problems with any meds. I feel your pain I am 8 months pregnant and have had a  headache and pressure in my head since December almost every single day. I am miserable. Gastric bypass and preganacy together are terrible when you have headaches because you can barely take anything. I have had to suffer this whole time. I hope you feel better.  Tina Z
