I have surgery scheduled August 28 with Dr Strickland.  I have to decide between being Banded or Sleeved.  Right now  the band is winninng based on the sleeve being more than twice as much as the band.

I had my appointment with Dr. Bour yesterday and all went very well.  He is such a nice guy.  After talking to him directly, I felt a peace with my decision for the first time.  I know he'll take care of me and I have complete faith in him.

After I met with him, I saw Carmen and she sent my paperwork to the insurance company.  She said I should have an answer today sometime.  My insurance company has a very fast turnaround.

Anyway, please wish me luck that the surgery will be approved.

Hey everyone, finally released today, they did another EGD yesterday, ballooned both openings espoghagus to stomach and stomach to small intestine,  also found an ulcer-pretty large.  This doctor is questioning why the 1st dr did not find it.  Anyway, very sore from anesthesia, I was out quite a while, they really took their time and looked around.  Did not remember this time, thank god.  I have been off my anxiety meds for a while, so I am pretty much a basket case.   New meds again, thank god for rx insurance.  Anyway, I have a small pharmacy going-if anyone needs something post it, I probably have it.  My husband was awesome, did not leave my side.   I have to do something nice for him.  Maybe a weekend getaway. 

Thats news from my wing at MUSC, couple of more stays and I will have bought stock.

I've also been having these thoughts off and on and I don't even have  a surgery date yet. The things you've been told is exactly the reassurance I need.
