You too, just way too skinny, you need to stop losing weight, lol.
I can't seem to lose anymore, been stuck at this weight or go up a couple of pounds then back down. Frustrating and aggrivating to say the least. But, you and Ms. skinny minnie Colleen look awsome.
Take care and don't stay away so long.

Hugs!

Cari, you know we use to have a support group that met outside of Dr. Bours inhouse meetings, but, it seems everyone has disappeared over the past several months. I don't see or hear from any of the old crowd, so I assume they have other things going on in their lives and can't get together anymore, or I just don't get invited anymore, lol. Anyway, Bariatric Solutions is only for patients of Dr. Bours, that is part of what his fee covered. I haven't been to a meeting in a couple of months because it seemed as though everytime I went it was the same old thing over and over, plus since they changed the meetings to Tuesdays I have a harder time getting  to go to them. I'm sure I will catch hell  on the next appointment I have with the dr. for my check-up for not attending.  If you hear from any of the old gang let me know and I will do the same, the farther out we get the more support we need and it just doesn't seem to be there anymore.

Take Care!

yeah....not to be negative but those meetings at Dr. Bour's office are definitely "private".  I switched doctors because I couldn't come up with the whole $2000 as fast as I wanted the surgery and when I asked for a refund of part of the $1000 I did pay, all my money had been eaten up with "meeting attendance".  I was a bit ticked but should have expected it.  I mean, I knew that's a little bit of what the "program fee" was for but I didn't realize they'd be taking out chunks of money per meeting.  I thought it was more for the dieticians and psychologist than for meeting attendance.

There is a support group at Sptbg Regional once a month.  I can check for you and see if it's open to the public.  I know it's not Greenville but it's not terribly far.

I too would like to find a support group in the Greenville area.  My surgery is coming up in a couple of weeks and it will be done in Columbia, so I don't have any local support group.  Let me know if anyone knows of one.  A friend of mine checked with Bariatric Solutions in Greenville and was told that their support meetings was not open to the public.

Time sure does fly!!  It doesn't seem possible that 18 months ago I took that giant leap of faith that would put me on the road to health, but it was.  What an amazing ride its been.  I'm so grateful that Dr. B has so much follow-up in place cuz you never really know what your insides are doing after this surgery.   Glad to report all my blood tests came back normal.   Me and normal, (when it came to my weight) they were never in the same sentence.

To everyone just getting started, do your research, talk to people, ask questions of everyone, your surgeon, nutritionist, people who have used different surgeons, people who have/or will have different procedures, gather your facts and make informed decisions that work for you.  It's an amazing journey.

And, dammit bobby! (that's for you Jen, I love that saying) Been lurking and not posting enough that I can't get my new avatar to change. LOL.
