Topic: Walk from Obesity 2008
As you all may know the walk from obesity is being held here in the upstate in September 2008. (the 27th) I definetely wanted to do the walk and when I went on to register found out that Dr. B was one of the sponsors neat huh? I know that he performed surgery for most of us so wanted to extend the offer to anyone willing to sign up and walk or support our team. Team Chub Chasers, helping chase away obesity. If your interested please google the walk from obesity and click "join a walk" you can then choose the walk in Greenville/Upstate and register to walk as part of the team. You can sign family and friends up as well, I think its free to register kids. Even if you don't want to walk please support us by making donations online by chosing the Team Chub Chasers site once on the site for the Walk from Obesity. Hope to see you there!

Thanks I decided to go with Avon because it seems more laid back and not so demanding.

Topic: 18month check-up at 21months
Hello friends. It's been awhile since I last posted. I saw Dr Byrne last week for my 18month check-up. I was a few months behind on my one year check-up, which made me late for the 18month visit. Everything is perfect. I've been at a stable weight for a year. I fluctuate in a five pound range and I'm ok with that. My next check-up is one year from now.
On the personal side, there's alot going on. I got a new job, Nurse Manager in VA Primary Care, Telephone Advice Program (TAP)....think VA phone-a-nurse. And, the biggest and best news, Lesley and I are getting married August 23. Life's good.

My ex was a MK rep. There's no way you can make any money doing it part time regardless of what they say. To make any money, you'll have to work full time pluss evenings and weekends. It's a good company though. I have nothing bad to say about MK. It's all about sales and marketing. If you like that sort of thing, and are good at it, there are alot of other products you can sell and make more money...like cars.

Well my baby girl is going to start K4 this year so I am looking for a way to make some extra cash while she is in school for about 4 hours a day. Does anyone here have any experience with either of these companies? I just want to know if it is worth it. For avon its like $10 to start up but for Mary Kay its $100 for a start up kit. If anyone can give me any info or tips that would be great.

I know I'm a little behind in seeing your post, but I sitll wanted to put my 2 cents in - I live just outside of Charleston and recommend it as a great place to live & raise kids.  There's MUSC & St Francis here that are always looking for great people (my stepdaughter is a CNA, going for her RN) and there's multiple industries and companies looking for IT.  The schools run the whole gamut - fair to great public & really good private - whatever you're looking for.  Summerville is a great "young family" town now and not far from Charleston & North Charleston where the most job are.

Good luck & keep us posted!
