Sorry it took so long to reply (but I just found it).  I had my VSG on April 23rd in Lexington.  If you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to help.  I had my surgery with Dr. Antonei with the same group (a great bunch of guys there).  I was the first VSG to be at the support group.

Hmm I will be KID FREE but I'm working tomorrow night. If I can remember how to get there I may stop by after work.

Hi. I'll be visiting my parents in Aiken.  I had my RNY on 4/9/08 and then a stomach perf on 7/11/08.  I went to the closest ER, which was a hospital that did not have a bariatric program and they really mismanaged my care.  My surgeon told me to always go back to the hospital where I had my initial surgery because he (or the other bariatric surgeons) understand how to care for a WLS patient.

So I'll be there for 2 weeks, and I guess I am a nervous nelly, but I want to know where the closest hospital with a bariatric surgeon on staff is to Aiken.  Anyone know?  I just want to be prepared in case I have an issue. I'm thinking probably Augusta, GA or Columbia.
