Topic: RE: Anyone in the Greenville/Greer area need any clothes?
Now I am in 22-24 some 20's.  I am taking up what I can and will wear them as long as I can.  The skirts are fairly easy but it is harder to take up the blouses and sweaters.  I can use casual skirts and pants and a few dressier  outfits for Sunday.

Thanks for considering me.

Don't you love that feeling? I think I have a little of everything. Probably have some cooler weather clothes too. It has been awhile since i went through everything. What are you needing and I can see if I might have something in the size (and smaller) ?
Hugs,
Karen

Topic: RE: Anyone in SC have Vsg
Hi,
I had my VSG the day before you posted.  I have not been to a support group and with the price of gas the only way it looks like I can get to one is to schedule my dr's appt on the same day.

So far the only problems I have had is getting enough protein and water.  I started soft foods today so I think that will help.  I can nibble on string cheese if nothing else.

Maybe I will get to meet you if I ever get to a meeting

Topic: RE: Any Support Groups in Anderson???
Jessica,
I  Dr Rowitz office has a support group.  I don 't know how active they are.  I have been thinking about checking into it.

Info from his web site: 864-231-2773
Support groups are an important part of postoperative obesity surgery care. The bariatric medical literature has shown that participation in a support group leads to more effective and longer lasting weight loss. Our gastric bypass support group generally meets on the first Thursday of each month at the AnMed Health Campus in Anderson South Carolina, although occasionally this may change to accommodate guest speakers or holidays. Everyone is welcome to attend, especially patients considering weight loss surgery, patients awaiting surgery, postoperative patients, and friends/family. Contact us for specific dates and support group itineraries.

Let me know if you find out anything

Topic: RE: Appointment with Dr. Bour today

Congrats!  It won't be long for you now.  I saw Dr. Bour the first week in August and my surgery is Oct. 14th.

Let us know how it's going.

Well, the appointment happened after all.  Carmen called and said something happened with someone's insurance and asked if I could come in but at a later time.  Of course, I said sure and I went.  Dr. Bour is really, really nice and absolutely wonderful!!  Carmen will be sending my stuff off today for insurance approval which should not be a problem b/c my BCBS only requires me to be over 18 and a BMI over 40.  Carmen said if everything goes through fairly quickly then I will probably be having surgery in December!  I'm so excited.  I feel like I actually see a light at the end of the tunnel for the first time in a long time.

Topic: We need a group in Greenville
Is there already a group that gets together? If not, we need to create one. Please let me know if you would be interested in doing that.
