Topic: RE: please pray
Becky I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. I know the Lord will send his comforter and bring you peace. Next year maybe your anniversary will be a happy time to reflect upon the wonderful things about your marriage as well as reflecting on what a
difference having your brother in your life made. Thanking God for your husband who will no doubt be there to hold you and comfort you. A day of thanksgiving rather than berevement. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
BTW...October 22nd is my oldest brothers birthday.

Topic: RE: Getting settled in South Carolina!
Hey Annie...
Welcome to the South!!! Enjoy the BBQ and that southern charm.
My hubby and I moved out here about 4 years ago, from Cal. We LOVE IT here. Lake Wylie is on the borderline with Charlotte, NC ..... so we are WAY up here.
Im down 55 lbs. and two months out. Cannot believe this. I love my RNY!!!
Maybe on day, I'll get to try on that size 10....but for now...its a size 20. Not so bad since I was a tight 26.
Anyways, welcome and I hope you enjoy this beautiful state..with beautiful smiles.
Topic: GALLSTONES
I had a very painful gall stone attack yesterday, enough for ambulance ride to MUSC. Anyway, feel better today. Has anyone had there gallbladder out after surgery. Dr saw gallstones when I was in surgery but I was under too long and did not feel comfortable taking out. How long is recovery? What about eating?
Thanks
Thanks
103 pounds gone!!!! Yeah for me

Hi Teresa,
I have noticed this board isn't very active, that's a bummer.
Thanks for the welcome

Hi Annie. Welcome to SC board. You said, the name of the hospital your surgery was in was named Madigan something. Well Madigan is my last name.
By the way, Barbara is my sister too. We had our surgeries 2 wks, apart. So I hope you can help this board out. It moves so slow these days.

Thanks for the welcome Barbara! I have no idea where the Piedmont area is, I'll have to look it up.

Hi Annie, Glad to have you here in the great state of SC. I'm in the Piedmont area, but glad to have you on the board here. Good luck getting settled. Barbara
Topic: Getting settled in South Carolina!
Hello everyone!
I plan to be an active member of the SC forums now that I'm here! We just moved from WA State, my dh is in the Air Force, so we are in the Sumter/Shaw area.
I have introduced myself before, but haven't been very active here, so I thought I'd reintroduce myself.
My name is Annie. I had my surgery February 27, 2008 at Madigan Army Medical Center in Washington. My surgery went well, though post-op I developed a slight infection, but was in quite a bit of pain for about 2 months.
Finally about a month or so ago, I was able to tolerate protein powders (I would throw up from them before), so I am now getting most of my protein!
I have lost a total of 122.5 pounds from my high weight of 315. I am currently at 192.5. Even more amazing is yesterday I put on (and of course had to buy) a pair of size 10 jeans. I still have 42.5 pounds to get to my goal, but that will come with time...I'm averaging about 5 pounds a month for loss right now, but maybe since I have started lap swimming that will increase - I guess we'll see won't we.
I would love to get to know you guys here! I am hoping there are several of you in the Sumter area, and if there's not a support group, we need to get one going!
