Yes it's a pretty quick process once you get all the test and the mandatory labs dealing with the surgery completed. The longest for me was the waiting in between appointments before seeing the surgeon. Keep miving forward and you will be banded soon.

So glad it helped you. I would love to meet you. I have seen you post on here and It's always great to meet Dr B's patients. Don't you just love him, he is so funny, but he is very serious about following the rules. later.. good luck with your exercise..;....

Thanks Barbara! This sounds good. I see Dr. Bour in the morning for my 1 month post op, so I was going to discuss it with him. I feel really good...just a little tired sometimes, but I believe that because I'm not getting enough protein and fluids. I raked the ENTIRE yard last Sunday and felt fine afterwards, so I don't see where a little resistence would hurt.
I saw you at the 1 o'clock group this past Tuesday. I was going to come up and speak to you, but you were talking with some other ladies and I didn't want to butt in. Your speach at the Post-op role modle a few weeks ago really helped me over my "fear-hump". I'm very grateful and just wanted you to know that.
Take care and Happy Turkey Day.

**You look great, by the way!**

I've been on my treadmill since 3 or 4 days after I came home from hospital... Did resistant bands about 1 month after and about 2-3 months doing all kinds of exercise. If you have the strength DO IT....is what I say. Swimming is good if you can get into a heated pool. Bike riding is good. Brisk Walks......I jump rope at least 15 minutes once a week. Good Luck

Hey guys!
I was just wondering how soon RNY post-ops can begin going to the gym for exercising? I am a month out as of Nov. 14th and I'm already beginning to see a little flab under my arms (batwings) and a little slack between my legs on my upper thighs. I do plenty of walking, but I have no equipment at home except for a small stair-stepper and some resistence bands that were given to me last weekend for my birthday. I haven't used them at all because I didn't know where I should or not.
Yesterday, I raked the entire yard and beside feeling tired, I didn't hurt or anything. As a matter of fact, I haven't had a pain what so ever since the drain came out. I've had no nausea or vomiting either. I have had a little constipation, but wasn't sure what to do for that either.
I'm a patient of Dr. Bour's, so I was just wondering what you guys did for exercise and when.
Take care and thanks for the advise!
