I had a little pain last night in my left side about 1 inch from the drain scar.  But when I got up this morning it was hurting, so I called Dr Bour 's answering service and Katie called me back she said it sounded like a hernia.  so I need to wear an adominal band until they look at it.  When I put pressure on the area it stops the pain.  If it gets any worse they said they can fix it with outpatient surgery.  or if I wait and bear the pain it will help get the insurance to pay for my excess skin removal.  Right now it's about a 7 on a scale from 1 to 10.  but I am going to get a band to help with the pain.  I want to wait till i do skin removal.....If I can.  yall pray for me that the pain will be bearable till then......   Has anyone else had a hernia?

To try to answer a question or two for you because I have tricare prime and I am getting the Realized band on DEC 2. I went to the 2 hour seminar on 09-09 and after all the test and labs appointments that I had to go do before I could see the surgeon I saw him on November 12 and Tricare Prime approved me on Nov 14.

My doctor office have me on a atkins diet which I hate for two weeks prior to surgery. I am actually going nuts on that now and i will be on that through out Thanksgiving until I have my surgery Dec 2. I would rather do the liquid diet 24 hours before surgery then atkins for two weeks.

Hi, I will be in Hilton Head for the holiday week and iam wondering if there are any wls food stores on the area? I am looking for high protein cereals, drinks etc. I do have transportation I am willing to drive as far as Savannah. Thanks

Well I finally saw  the 130's   (139) this morning.  Seems like forever in the 140's  I have changed my goal from 125 to 135  that is still below Dr B's goal.    I am doing the happy dance162 pounds lost since Sept 13th 2007  had RNY 3/18/08...  weighed 239  So that is 62 pounds before and 100 since surgery.
