Topic: RE: 2 YEARS Surgiversary!!
CHRIS...your amazing!!!! First of all..congrat's on the 2 years out. And second...WOW...how did you work yourself up to those marathons????
I SOOO want to do that for my one year out....instead of a make over, new wardrobe, new jewelry (although it would be nice)...I SOOOO want to run a 5K.
Did you have a trainer??
I am so impressed and motivated and inspirited.
You are a super...

Topic: 2 YEARS Surgiversary!!
I made it--to my 2 year surgiversary!! What a journey it has been....along the way
I have run a marathon
I biked a 130 mile bike ride
I did my first triathlon!! (5K run, 15 mile bike and 400meter swim)
I got divorced (a very mutually amicable split)
Made many friends, lost a few
I have lost 148lbs!! and gained back 30lbs--learning there is a happy medium between goal weight and my happiness weight. I am IN NO WAY saying you should not reach goal weight-you MUST!! But in running 35-40 miles/week, being alittle over goal weight is OK for me...
And I have finally become happy with me, who I am, how I live my life, and now live my life. I have finally become the type of man I want my daughters to marry--and accomplished all of this thru support of good friends and the amazing staff at Dr Bours.
Next years goals
I will be running the Goofy Challenge in Disneyworld in 3 weeks (5K on Friday, 13.1 mile 1/2 marathon on Sat, 26.2 mile marathon on Sunday)
I want to do a 150 mile bike ride
I want to do a 1/2 Ironman triathlon (56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run, 1.2 mile swim)
And I am thinking about running one day to work...a 50 mile run...not sure about that one-to be decided....
Thank you to all who have given me words of encouragement and support along the way. I hope you all reach for your goals and dreams-they are within reach with alittle hard work...
Merry Chris!!!

Yeah, I was hoping that this 'local' board would be used more, as well. And no, I'm still waiting on the psych. to finish everything up. She said it should be done in a couple of days. Seems like an awfully long time, considering I had it done last week, but I honestly have no idea. But as long as it gets done before the 1st of Jan., I don't really mind, since that's when they take all the cases to the committee, or whatever it is.

I am pre-op and waiting for the insurance's approval. I was supposed to go to the Nutritional Meeting today, but will wait for the one on January 6 since I wasn't feeling well. (Went to the Dr yesterday. Diagnosis: Bladder/Kidney infection!)
I was considering coming to the Meeting tonight. Maybe I should, since I feel a bit better (guess the Cipro is working, lol)!!!
I am very happy for you, keep up the great work. So, here's your HIP HIP HORRAY
!!!
Hope to join you on the thinner side soon,
~Heike :)
