There are - but normally they are associated with the bariatric clinic in Greenville. Not sure if there are any that are not. Check local hospitals. I think in some of them (anderson? ) may be some generic support groups.
My doc office has a support groups - but as far as I understand - that is for people on our program (the program has a fee- I think?). But you may call them and check.

Hello
I had gastric bypass in 2011. Now I'm having problems going to the bathroom. I was told that my colon may have to be removed. Has anyone had this problem? Please advise. Thanks
I had my surgery in 2011 and I have to carry the glucose tablets with me. The Endo Dr said that my body have to adjust to not being so heavy. It was putting out more insulin then my body need and it will reverse on it's on. I have a problem every now and then to where I need to take a glucose tablet.

My friend had to do that method of paying to she had to pay the hospital their portion and then the doctor his portion as well she took out a loan to get what she needed. Well you do what you feel you need to you'll be in my prayers.
I did call them. You have to get separate quotes. Some from the hospital and one from the physician. They don't make it friendly at all for self pay as some doctors do. In any event, I cannot afford them so will having my surgery August 5th with Dr. Aceves in Mexico. For aftercare, I will use my PCP or my gyno.
