? re MUSC of other Centers of Excellence

Didn't I read that MUSC is now considered a Center of Excellence? I ask because I emailed my VP of HR at work concerning coverage of GB again. They quit covering the surgery almost 2 years ago citing lack of centers of excellence. Well I know that LMC is now recently a center of excellence and I thought I read that MUSC was too. I work at BCBS and I know that they drive what most everyone else does, so trying to start asking around with them again. Even asked her about going in front of the medical board to offer positive aspects of the surgery (even though I positively HATE public speaking!). Will let you know what I hear. Let me know about MUSC though. Also any other hospitals that you're aware of that have earned the center of excellence designation. Thanks!!!

Kim I was at MUSC for my pre-op today and I received a pamphlet from them that says "An Academic Medical Center of Excellence" I figured that would easy your mind.......... P.S. everyone was soooooooo friendly. All u have to do is look lost (which was all we did going from the tower to main hospital)and numerous ppl were there to give directions or even take u to the area. Thanks says ALOT of MUSC. Ana
