WEIGHT LOSS & TUBES REMOVED! OH MY!!

Wednesday, April 26, 2006 Hi Everyone, :waving: I went to see my Surgeon Dr. Ross today for my first post op visit. I HAVE LOST 16 POUNDS SINCE THE DAY OF SURGERY!! YES! YES! YES! This is also the day he removed my dear little drainage tube. OH MY GOODNESS! It didn't hurt, But Gee Whiz! That is the weirdest feeling I have ever felt in my life! Kind of like this tubing was tied up in a tight ball, and when he started pulling it was as if it loosened the ball and it all sprang loose!, Ge**** was weird! But it didn't hurt, just weird! LOL! I DID take a little pain medicine before I went in like my Doctor told me to, so maybe this is why it didn't hurt. *smile* So now I feel so much back to normal with these things out of me LOL! I start on my vitamins today also He wants me to take: Centrum Chewable (taste like an orange kids vitamin), Viactive calcium chews 1000mg (I like the Carmel), and the B12 sublingual tablet 1000mg. that you put under your tongue to melt (Taste like Cherry) So I kind of get my "sweets" through my yummy vitamins. I also love my protein drinks. I did try and eat a bite or two of tuna yesterday, That didn't work, It felt like it got stuck half way down. So we'll wait a little longer before we try that again. LOL! All & All I am very pleasantly surprised at how well things are going thus far. Please pray things continue to go this good. GOD IS GOOD! Have a blessed day! That is awesome, Debra!!! You just keep on keeping on and you will do great!!! I remember when we had our meeting with Norma after getting the drain out. We were supposed to have started on soft foods. All I had tried was an egg. Norma "fussed" at me about it. But you know how it is, you try one thing before trying something else.....and there is only so much room for any food to go either!!! It's fun, isn't it!!!! Keep up the good work, girl!!
