Hi Melissa... I'm here...this was an errand running day. I had to stop and pick up some protein, water, and a few other groceries. I was going to shop for some new bras at Khols, they're having a sale... but the traffic was ridiculous on Woodruff Rd...so I just came home. So what's on "your" mind today??? Are you ready for your surgery??? You're nexted on our list ...I know you're excited I'm counting down the days with you You have a great weekend too!!! Tonya

I'm here! I've been so busy trying to get my six meals in and my protein that I swear I spend all day watching to see what time it is!! I swear this is some work! But I'll do what I have to because I know it is good for me. We are going to a company function this weekend where they will have an easter hunt for the kids as well as rides and games. Oh yeah, did I mention that they will also have FREE barbeque lunch, cotton candy, popcorn, snocones, etc.? Normally I would be looking forward to this, but I guess I'll be packing a small lunch bag with all my necessities instead. Kathy

IT GETS EASIER, MS KATHY ... YOUR POUCH IS STILL HEALING & YOU'RE STILL VERY NEW AT THIS ... A COUPLE MONTHS OUT, YOU WON'T HAVE TO EAT 6 TIMES A DAY TO GET YOUR PROTEIN IN ... YOU CAN IF YOU FEEL BETTER DOING THAT ... MANY HAVE FOUND THEIR ENERGY STAYS MORE LEVEL IF THEY CONTINUE TO EAT 6 MINI MEALS ... BUT, YOU'LL BE ABLE TO EAT A LITTLE MORE AT EACH SITTING SO YOU'LL BE ABLE TO GET YOUR CALORIES/PROTEINS IN, IN FEWER MEALS ... YOU'LL ALSO BE ABLE TO EAT A BIT FASTER & USE MORE TEXTURED PROTEIN PRODUCTS LIKE BARS WHICH HELPS AS A MEAL SUBSTITUTE. I WAS IN THE SAME SITUATION YOU ARE NOW ... AN EMPLOYEE BBQ ABOUT 3 WEEKS POST OP. I HAD 2 ITTY BITTY BITES OF BBQ (ABOUT THE SIZE OF YOUR FINGERNAIL FOR EACH BITE & I THINK I CHEW IT FOR AN HOUR! ) &, I REALLY DIDN'T WANT ANYTHING ELSE, SO I HAD A GREAT TIME MEETING PEOPLE I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE NICK WORKS & CHATTING WITH THEM. TAKING AN "EMERGENCY PACK" IS IMPORTANT F-O-R-E-V-E-R! I TAKE A BOTTLE OF PROFECT PROTICA, A POWER CRUNCH BAR &/OR A STALLONE PROTEIN PUDDING, AS WELL AS FLAVORED WATER WITH ME ALMOST ANY TIME I GO OUT. I HAVE A HUGE BAGGY OF INDIVIDUAL SPLENDA PACKETS IN THE CAR FOR WHEN WE EAT IN RESTUARANTS. A LOT MORE OF THEM ARE OFFERING SPLENDA OR SWEET THING, WHICH TASTES VERY CLOSE TO SPLENDA, BUT I'M NOT SURE WHAT IT'S MADE OF. SO, YOU'RE DOING FANTASTIC, MS KATHY ... THINKING AHEAD & PLANNING FOR YOUR EATING NEEDS ... YOU'LL FIND THAT YOU WILL BEGIN TO ENJOY SOCIAL EVENTS EVEN MORE WHEN YOUR FACE ISN'T IN A PLATE ALL THE TIME. GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK
