"OUT THERE" question

As the official bariatric best friend of the bride, I am trying to help Kelly find an affordable caterer, Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for everything, would love to see you all tonight, but will probably have to see you next week. Mary

As far as caterers go, I don't know of any that are really affordable, but, I have done 3 weddings now, and I know about flowers and venues. I do flowers and bouquets, but I am so busy lately I probably wouldn't have time, but I know who does them pretty cheaply. Flowers by Murray for Boutineers and corsages and bouqets by them as well. Flower arrangements, go through Costco or Sams. You have to order ahead of time. For food, you can do a lot of it yourselves, quiches, cheese and meat trays and fruit trays all from Sams and do canapes and crab salads, easy to make ahead and refrigerate. Sticky Fingers does catering and also, we had a reception at Morgan Creek Grill on the IOP and they were VERY reasonable and did a great job on the food. The people in the wedding usually do not want to do the food, they need to enjoy the wedding. Publix does THE best cakes, but you need to order early and make sure you stay on top of them, as they were late to our wedding. I added flowers on the top and down the side and it was beautiful. DEPENDING ON WHAT TYPE OF FOOD YOU WANT ... PUBLIX DOES GREAT FOOD TRAYS ... FINGER FOOD, MEAT ROLL UPS, CHEESE & TINY SANDWICHES ... FRUIT BOWLS & VEGE TRAYS W/ DIP (FROM THE FRUIT/VEGE DEPT) ... DEVILED EGGS ... WINGS (YOU CAN GET A BROCHURE AT THE DELI) ... I'VE TAKEN THEM TO OUR CHURCH FUNCTIONS, PICNICS & NEW YEARS EVE PARTIES & EVERYONE HAS DEVOURED THEM. ALSO, MOST OF THE RESTUARANTS NOW MAKE UP TRAYS THAT ARE FANTASTIC ... SO IF MS KELLY HAS A FAV RESTUARANT, THAT MAY BE A WAY TO GO. WE HAD OUR WEDDING CAKE DONE AT PUBLIX & WE WERE VERY PLEASED ... THEY CAN ALSO DO DESSERT TRAYS. IF YOU WANT SOMETHING LIKE A BBQ ... SMOKED PIG, CHICKEN, ETC ... NICK'S BOSS DOES THAT & DON'T QUOTE ME, BUT I THINK HE SAID IT'S AROUND $8.00 PER PERSON. IF YOU WANT SPECIFICS, WE CAN GET THE INFO FOR YOU, MS MARY. IF YOU WANT A FANCY, CATERED SIT-DOWN MEAL ... I DON'T KNOW. GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK
