Before Surgery

Can any one tell me how long it may take once you have seen a psychologist before you have your surgery? :shurg: I go tomorrow to see the Surgical Weight Loss Coordinator to take in my paper work. She told me she would be giving me an appointment to see them tomorrow. Libby from Boiling Springs SC

ANYWHERE FROM A COUPLE WEEKS TO A COUPLE MONTHS ... ALL DEPENDS ON HOW LONG YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY TAKES TO APPROVE YOU ... OR, IF YOU NEED TO SUPPLY MORE INFORMATION ... ALSO DEPENDS ON HOW BOOKED YOUR SURGEON IS OR IF HE/SHE GETS A CANCELLATION THAT HE/SHE CAN OFFER YOU EARLIER. IF YOU GET DENIED & HAVE TO RESUBMIT, IT COULD TAKE LONGER ... VERY DEPENDENT ON YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY & HOW FAST THEY PUT YOU THROUGH THE PROCESS. CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING THIS FAR, MS LIBBY ... KEEP US POSTED ON YOUR PROGRESS!

Libby... I agree with Dawn...it depends on how long it takes your insurance company to approve the surgery. Are you new to this Board? If you are...A Big SC WELCOME to ya!! And if you're not...you still get a Big SC WELCOME I didn't find your name on our List...but you're now an official member of our SC Weight Loss and Upcoming Surgery List Don't be alarmed we aren't after your money or anything ...this list just keeps up with where everyone is at on their WL journey. Whether that's waiting for a consult...to be approved...Upcoming surgery dates...weight loss stats...or just trying to decide whether WLS is for you. I'll be posting the updated list on Monday. Hi Everyone, I seen Norma yesterday. She set up my appt. to see Steve Brown,the psyic. Dr. for Tuesday at 2:30. Norm said that as soon as she got his report back she would call me with an appt. to see the Dr. Ross. She said when I seen Dr. Ross he would all so set up my surgery date. Which she thinks will be some time around the end on May or 1st. on June. Things are moving a little faster than I thought they would. I'm getting butterflies in my tummy.. Thanks for your support.
