Anyone with an April Surgery date

A BIG SC FORUM WELCOME TO YOU DANIELLE!!! AND CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR UPCOMING SURGERY!!! If you wouldn't mind I would like to add you and your Mom to our SC Weight and Surgery List. It's inspiring and motivating to be able to read every few weeks how everyone is progressing on thier wl journey. The Weight Loss List was started by one of our Awesome SC Ladies...Ms Dawn. She's our Den Mother, Sister, and most important a WL Buddy to us all. Can you tell I really like her? My insurance does not cover any weight loss procedure, so I needed to find a Dr. with a self pay DISCOUNTED price. My mother had surgery with Dr. Byrnes (her insurance paid 100%) and a good friend of mine used Dr. Strickland in Lexington/W. Columbia SC. Both of these Dr.'s are GREAT, but they do not (or atleast did not 6 months ago) offer a discount for self-pay. So my investigating began............I found a friend of a friend who had surgery in Conway,SC with Dr. Balder and said that he had a self pay discount..I called IMMEDIATELY! I had to pay $250 program fee, $300 first visit, $5000 surgeon fee, and $10,000 hospital. I will owe the hospital $277 for 36 months.....but it will be worth it!!! You may also need a pshyc eval, not sure what the cost is for that?
