Anyone with an April Surgery date

Hello, everyone I will be having surgery, by Dr. Byrnes, on April 28th and I was wodering if anyone will be having surgery on that date as well or close to it? It would be kinda cool to have someone there going through the same thing at the same time. I know it is probably far fetched, but just wanted to ask. Thanks Chell

Hi Chell My surgery is April 18th . I agree that it is nice to have someone else to go through this with. Sounds like there are a few of us . Good luck with your surgery!!! Melissa

Hey Chell, I also have Dr. Byrne. My surgery date is April 14th~ Good Friday. He says I will be discharged on Easter Sunday, which happens to be my absolute favorite day of the year. I had pre-op today, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Be prepared to be there for several hours. I was there from 9 AM - 1 PM. I do want to mention something that I read on another board. I was worried about my pre-op weight gain, because I had read that other surgeons would cancel surgery if one gained weight pre-surgery. I gained 7 pounds due to a hysterectomy 6 weeks ago that had me laid up, stopping the Phentermine diet drug, and going through the "last meal" syndrome. When I began apologizing and explaining, the nurse chuckled and said Dr. Byrne would never cancel it for that reason. I tell you this because I hardly slept at all last night worrying about it and if I can help one person rest easy, I'll be happy! ~Christine~

Good Luck! My surgery date is 4/25. I live in Moncks Corner, but am having surgery in Conway. My mom used Dr. Byrnes in September 2005 and he was GREAT! I am not using him because my insurance does not cover the surgery so I needed a Dr. with a self pay discount. Danielle
