Anyone had IVC Filter placement before surgery?

Has anyone had IVC Filter placement before their WLS? I had heart cath last month...is it similar or harder?

Hey Joan... I had the filter too. It didn't really hurt but my leg was very tired for a few days after it was over. I only worked 1/2 days for 2 days but I have to do some walking at my job. Hope that helps.... --Kelly

Thanks Kelly...I am nervous since I found it takes an hour to place it and the heart cath only took 15 minutes. I am a crossing guard so I only stand 45 min. 2x's a day. In Christ, Joan
