Ugh...I am so sick of being tired all the time. I feel like I am running my self ragged and getting nothing done. I had a minor accident today. I COASTED into the stop sign at the end of my road. Can you believe it?
That is TWO houses down from mine. I was distracted from the road by my four year old and I guess the wheel turned enough to head me right to the stop sign. How embarrassing!
My car will need some repairs and I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS RIGHT NOW!!!
I am always tired and making dumb mistakes like this. This has started happening more in the last two years.
Someone please tell me that I will feel better and more energized after surgery. I'm starting to feel really down on myself and like a failure before I even start!!
Only 3 more days to go...I should be jumping for joy! Instead I am sitting here like a big baby.
I'll get over it, I just wanted to whine a little first.

I CAN'T BEGIN TO TELL YOU HOW MANY THINGS I DID LIKE THAT & I WAS GETTING WORSE & WORSE ... TOO MUCH WEIGHT ... TOO MUCH STRESS FROM BEING SO UNHEALTHY & STILL TRYING TO HANDLE THINGS NORMALLY ... DEPRESSION ... HOPELESSNESS ... IT ALL TAKES ITS TOLL &, YESSSSSSSSSS, EXHAUSTED TO THE POINT I DIDN'T GET OUT OF BED OR OFF THE COUCH FOR DAYS. SO, I'M SURE WE ALLLLLLLLLL KNOW EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW ...
BUT, THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT IT DOES GET BETTER ... SO, GET PROACTIVE ... GET FOCUSED ... GET PASSIONATE ... GET PISSED ... GET ANGRY ... GET WHATEVER YOU NEED TO GET TO, TO FIGHT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE 1st 3 MONTHS CAN BE A LITTLE TIRING ... YOUR BODY IS HEALING & YOU'RE GETTING ADJUSTED, & RE-ADJUSTED & RE-ADJUSTED A ZILLION TIMES MORE TO YOUR NEW LIFESTYLE ... THEN, IT SMOOTHS OUT.
1 ... GET GOOD QUALITY VITAMINS/MINERALS ... FORGET THE FLINTSTONES COMPLETE ... INVEST IN GOOD SUPPLEMENTS!!!!!!!!
2 ... DO LIKE I SAY, NOT LIKE I DID. A MONTH OR SO AGO, I WAS FINALLY MEDICALLY RELEASED TO EXERCISE & I DIDN'T DO IT. I'VE PAID A HEAVY PRICE WITH EXHAUSTION FOR THAT GOOF UP. THE MOMENT YOU GET THE OK TO EXERCISE, DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVEN IF YOU JUST WALK AROUND YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK.
3 ... FOCUS ON THE FLUIDS 1st & THE PROTEIN 2nd ... & EVERYTHING ELSE "LAST". PHYSICALLY, THIS WILL REALLY HELP.
4 ... EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T WANT TO, GET OUT OF YOUR RUT/ROUTINE ... POST ON THE BOARD ... GO TO A SUPPORT MEETING OR MEET WITH A WLS FRIEND ... GET ACTIVE.
5 ... REMEMBER, YOU MAY EXPERIENCE EMOTIONAL UPS & DOWNS BUT THAT IS VERY NORMAL WHEN LOSING WEIGHT THIS QUICKLY (I HAVE AN ARTICLE ON MY PROFILE ABOUT THIS SOMEWHERE IN MY 2006 ENTRIES). READ IT & WARN YOUR FAMILY!

You are so inspirational Ms. Dawn! You should be a motivational speaker.
I'm trying really hard to stay positive, only a couple of more days to go and I'll be on the other side of this all.
And, Mmmmm...cheese. Cheese sounds really good as I sit here sipping on this durned Optifast...
It will all be worth it and one day I won't even remember what was making me feel so bad to begin with.

Kathy I know exactly how you feel. Before wls I was miserable. All I could do is lay around and stuff myself. My stairs were so hard to walk up and I felt like I was dying. I knew if I didn't have the surgery I would not make it to 60. I am 56 now and 2 months post op and with the 35 pound weight loss and exercise I feel like a new woman. I still have to force myself to exercise everyday but it is getting easier now and with me feeling so much better I will keep on doing it. I never want to feel 100 again. Just hang in there and I promise you will feel better.
Hi Kathy, It was soooo nice to meet you at the group session this evening. You are so beautiful! I am so excited for you ... tomorrow is your day of clear liquids, and then Wednesday, you will be on the road to feeling BETTER! I will follow your progress, and hope to heaven that I'm not too far behind you ... because I am feeling about as old and tired as I ever hope to feel. You will be in my prayers this week.
