MAJOR STALLS
MY FIRST STALL CAME AT 3 WEEKS & AFTER THAT, MY WEIGHT LOSS HAS BEEN SPERATIC (sp?) & I USUALLY LOSE WEIGHT DURING A PARTICULAR WEEK & THEN DON'T HAVE ANOTHER SPURT OF WEIGHT LOSS FOR ANOTHER 3 OR 4 WEEKS, MAYBE LOSING A POUND OR 2 IN BETWEEN.
I STICK TO THE EATING & DRINKING PROGRAM ... SO, THAT'S NOT THE PROBLEM.
AS Y'ALL KNOW, I HAVE BEEN ON A MAJOR STALL/SLOWWWWW WEIGHT LOSS TIME OF IT FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS, JIGGLING UP & DOWN WITH THE SAME COUPLE OF POUNDS, THEN, I'LL LOSE A COUPLE POUNDS & SO ON. SOOOO, I'VE BEEN DOING SOME RESEARCH ... &&&& ...
NOT EVERYONE, BUT THERE IS A PATTERN THAT SOME OF US TEND TO HIT HEAVY STALLS IN ABOUT OUR 4th OR 5th MONTHS & THEN, ALTHOUGH THE WEIGHT LOSS SLOWS DOWN, IT SEEMS TO RESTART ABOUT THE 6th MONTH OR SO.
INCREASING FLUIDS & PROTEINS AS MUCH AS DOUBLE
DOES HELP BUT THE KICKER IS ... E-X-E-R-C-I-S-E. SEEMS OUR BODIES NEED MUCH MORE PROTEIN THAN WE GIVE THEM ... IT CAN TAKE A BREAK FROM LOSING JUST TO REBALANCE ITSELF ... OR, IT GOES INTO THE STARVATION MODE & HOLDS ONTO EVERY BIT OF FAT IT CAN FOR AWHILE. NO MATTER THE REASON, IF, IF, IF WE STAY ON THE PROGRAM & ADD EXERCISE, WE EVENTUALLY COME OUT OF THE STALL & BEGIN LOSING AGAIN ... SLOWER, BUT LOSING. THIS GOES ON FOR ANYWHERE FROM A YEAR TO A YEAR & A HALF ... AFTER THAT, WEIGHT LOSS IS TORTURE JUST LIKE FOR THE REST OF THE WORLD.
EXERCISE REBUILDS DEPLEATED MUSCLES, STRENGTHENS YOU & MUSCLES USE MORE CALORIES THAN OUR BODIES DO WHEN THEY ARE JUST FAT ... SO, AS MUCH AS I WOULD LOVE TO RELY JUST ON MY ITTY BITTY POUCH, EATING & DRINKING ... EXERCISE IS THE KEY TO REVVING UP THE ENGINE ONCE IT'S STALLED, IT SEEMS.

I found that when I stalled (and this is just for me) when I actually cut ALL carbs out, and ate only protein, and more of it, I lost more. I was stalled out about one month ago, and when my cat died, I could not eat, and I had major depression/anxiety, and I lost 5 pounds that week, which seemed to kick me back into the losing mode, but I was running all over doing things, more active.
I am now dealing with the stupid kidney stones
and that made me gain (the 3 bags of IV fluids I had 2 weeks ago) and I lost that back...all fluid, and that helped kick it up again. I seem to lose, then stop, lose, then stop. I always do something to kick it up again. I am not on a regular exercise program, but I am always running around for work, home inspections, showing property, that I walk a lot for my job.
Let me know how the exercise tapes work!!
I ordered the power crunch bars today from Amazon.com, which seems hilarious, but they had a great deal!! $13.90 a box, which depending on flavor, and it was $4.95 for shipping, so my total for 24bars, triple chocolate and pnut butter fudge, was 32.00.
I hope that wasn't so bad. I just did not want to wait for Vitamin Shoppe...lazy shopper here!
How many of you are going to do the bridge walk? I want to go, but don't know now since I am stoned!!

I'VE HEARD THAT ... I WAS THINKING ABOUT GOING ALL MEAT PROTEIN ... SALMON, SHRIMP, EGGS, ETC, & SEE IF THAT HELPED. KINDA LIKE THE ATKINS INDUCTION PHASE WITHOUT THE SALADS ... CUZ I COULD DROP 10 - 20 #s BEFORE SURGERY WHEN I WENT ON IT.
I LOVE THOSE CRUNCH BARS BUT REMEMBER, THERE ARE 4 SUGAR GRAMS (1 TEAS) IN THEM, SO DON'T DO LIKE I DID & EAT 3 OF THEM A DAY FOR YOUR 3 SNACKS!
