Carb Question - please read!!

Hi and thanks in advance for reading and/or replying! A couple of weeks ago I talked to my doctor's office because I had a 3 week stall and was only 7 weeks out. They told me to up my fluid intake to 90-100 oz per day and add an extra protein drink and to pretty much cut out all carbs. Ok, I did that and immediately dropped 15 pounds! However, I've been living on boiled eggs and/or cheese. I'm tired of eggs, but I don't know how many carbs are too many per day? Could someone please help me before I start clucking??? Thanks! Hello Crystal... I will first say every doctor is different and have different plans for their patients... My program is no more than 100 carbs a day and no more than 1200 calories a day..Always eat your protien first and veg 2nd and carb's last... So I get no where near 100 carbs a day but that is my limit... It is very normal to have stall's in your weight loss if you stick to the program you will lose the weight... Just try to make good choices in what you eat and you will do fine... Brenda...

THAT'S WHAT THEY CALL GOING ON THE "PROTEIN TRAIN" ... UPPING FLUIDS & PROTEIN & AS FEW CARBS AS POSSIBLE ... IT'S VERY CLOSE TO THE ATKINS INDUCTION DIET. I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY CARBS ARE TOO MANY WHEN YOU ARE STALLING; CARBS SLOW THE WEIGHT LOSS PROCESS DOWN BECAUSE YOUR BODY WILL USE CARBS FIRST BEFORE FAT FOR ENERGY, SO MY "GUESS" WOULD BE THAT YOU STICK AS CLOSE TO A PROTEIN ONLY/NO CARB DIET AS YOU CAN WHEN YOU STALL. REMEMBER 4 GRAMS OF SUGAR CARBS IS A TEASPOON OF S-U-G-A-R. PROTEIN CAN BE POULTRY, SEAFOOD, BEEF, PORK ... ANY MEAT PRODUCT ... CHEESE, NUTS, BEANS, ETC. I'VE BEEN CHECKING MY CARBS SINCE STALLING & I'VE FOUND THAT THERE ARE 4 SUGAR CARBS EVEN IN MY HIGH PROTEIN/LOW CARB CRUNCH PROTEIN BAR ... SUGAR IS EVERYWHERE! GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK

REMEMBER MS CRYSTAL ... THERE ARE SEVERAL KINDS OF CARBS ... GOOD CARBS WHICH ARE COMPLEX CARBS OF FIBER YOU FIND IN THINGS LIKE GREEN VEGES ... MAYBE OK CARBS LIKE SUGAR ALCOHOLS WHICH ARE WHAT THINGS LIKE SPLENDA ARE ... SOME PEOPLE CAN TOLERATE THEM & SOME CAN'T ... THEN, THE BADDIE ... SUGAR CARBS ... YOU WILL SEE NOTED ON THE NUTRITIONAL BREAKDOWN ... SOMETIMES THEY NOTE FIBER & SUGAR CARBS SEPARATELY ... BE VERY, VERY CAUTIOUS OF THE "SUGAR" CARBS IN PARTICULAR, & KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR TOTAL CARBS CUZ YOUR BODY USED ALL CARBS FIRST FOR ENERGY BEFORE IT BREAKS DOWN & USES FAT, WHICH WE'RE TRYING TO GET RID OF.
