HELLLLOOOO SOUTH CAROLINA...
HELLLLOOOO SOUTH CAROLINA!!
Well, I'm feeling kind of dumb at this second, I just replied to a post asking for help on HOW to post, then came back to the main page and found out on my own! Geeesssh! I'm really not this dumb, just all the stress and busyness of getting ready for WLS. (I have to blame it on SOMETHING! LOL!)
What I'm really looking for is HELP & SUPPORT.
I live in Spartanburg, SC and Dr. Paul Ross will be doing my surgery.
I have heard only great things about him. My appointment with him is this Thursday, March 9th.
So things are moving along and I'm hoping to have surgery by my 46th birthday on April 6th or no later than the end of April if it's God's will.
I would love to get all the support I can get and all the information you can give me on how each of you prepared BEFORE surgery and what to expect and what I will need the first weeks AFTER surgery.
Things that made YOU say (I wish someone had told me these things before I had my surgery)
I have talked to two ladies on here about WLS that have been through this already, they are Dianne S. and Sheri Sigleton. I also have met Sheri Singleton at meetings, She is a total sweetheart!
Any support and information any of you can give me will be much appreciated.
God Bless,
Debra Spencer

Goooodmorning Britt,
Thank you so much for your post. Your support would be great! I'm one of those people that the more support I get the better I do. I have also added you to MY prayer list, I'm adding everyone that I read their post to my list. I feel that no matter where we are in this journey whether it's getting ready for surgery, just had surgery or years out, that we will need that continuous support of prayer & friendship.
God bless,
Debra

Goooodmorning Julie,
Thank you for your support also. Believe me, I need it. You're surgery is in 2 WEEKS?? WOW! CONGRATULATIONS! How are you feeling? Scared? Excited? How have you prepared? Kitchen stocked? I'm so afraid that I'll get home and their will be nothing that I can eat or will want to eat, the broth's, water, or nothing. Have you already bought vitamins? What kind? I so want to "be prepared" but afraid I won't be.
I'll be praying for you my friend and God will be with you.
God bless,
Debra

Hey Debra
Hey, if you got your appointment with Dr. Ross, you are almost there!!! It sounds like you got great paperwork to go with it, so Cigna should be a breeze (mine was....or maybe it was all that praying!!!). You be sure to let me know what he says....tell him hello for me!! He is such a great doctor, you are going to love him!! I don't go bac****il March 28th. But we have a post-op support group meeting next Tuesday night. I'm down 31 lbs now.
They move you very quickly through the food stages, which I think is pretty good. You don't get burned out on all liquids for so long. But I do have 1 and sometimes 2 protein shakes a day...
Call me sometime if you want to talk some more!!
Hugs,
Dianne

Hi Dianne,
Thank you for all your support and inspiration, YOU ARE WONDERFUL!!
I find it amazing at the weight you have lost so far, I'm so proud of you! ""YOU GO GIRL!!""
Are you walking for exercise yet? I'm "trying" to get into a walking routine BEFORE surgery so I'll be in the "habit" of it after surgery, They say if you can do something for 21 days in a role without skipping, then you are hooked. We shall see, I hope so.
Me, my daughter and 5 Maltese dogs have started walking at Cleveland park, they have a great FLAT paved trail around the lake, so pray I keep the habit going.
Although sometime it's hard to walk when people keep coming up to you wanting to pet or find out about the cute little white dogs, but hey, It's good for my breeding business! LOL!
What kind of food does Dr. Ross have you on now? What did you eat your first 2 weeks after surgery? Any suggestions?
I'll tell Dr. Ross hello for you when I see him Thursday.
Love you my friend,
Debra

Hi Brenda,
I just finished reading your journal! You have really had an AWESOME journey my friend! I may need to talk to you on down the line about the plastic surgery stuff. But I think I'll have enough to deal with right now with just remembering all the stuff on the WLS LOL! I am soooo ready to get this done and behind me. Congratulations on your successful weight loss. You look great!!
God Bless,
Debra
