Date change: need a little pick-me-up

Went in for surgery 3/1 .Hooked up to IV in bed ready to go . They come in to talk to me ,I cough. Surgery postpone till 3/15. I know its for the best but I am so ready and scared.

Dr. Bryne and the others that work with him know exactly what they are doing. If they postponed your surgery it is for the best. They hold your life in their hands when they operate on you and only want what is best for you! Dr. Baker did my surgery and I experienced some unforseen complications but she stood by me. Always reminded me I did this for my family and for my health. They have a wonderful bedside manner and CARE about you as a person. Trust them! You have chosen the best team of doctors that I know to do this! Good luck on the 15th I will be thinking of you!

Thanks so much for your email it really does help hearing from people that have already been there. I know its for the best I am really sick now it would really have been bad if I had went thru with surgery that day. Hope I can get some advice after my surgery from you.Thanks Ann

I'VE BEEN OFF THE BOARD FOR A WHILE MS CHASTITY, SO I'M NOT SURE IF YOU'VE BEEN INVITED, BUT WE'D LOVE FOR YOU TO JOIN US ON THURSDAY EVENINGS AT OUR LCBBuddies SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS. WE HAVE SEVERAL PEOPLE FROM THE GOOSE CREEK AREA ... ALL OVER THE LOWCOUNTRY, ACTUALLY. WE NOW MEET PERMANENTLY AT CHERYL'S PLACE ... JC's BAR & GRILL ON ASHLEY PHOSPHATE IN THE FOOD LION SHOPPING CENTER. JOIN US BETWEEN 6:00 - 7:30pm. MS CHERYL HAS A PROTEIN-RICH MENU FOR US SO YOU CAN EAT IF YOU WISH. NICK LOVES THE STEAK & I EVEN GET SOME TO GO OF HER CHICKEN SALAD ... THERE IS TEA & SODA ... MS JULIE CAME FOR THE FIRST TIME & BROUGHT ALL SORTS OF PICTURES ... I DROOLED ALL OVER HER TUMMY TUCK PICS ... OH MY GOSH, SHE LOOKED GREAT - 6 POUNDS WHACKED OFF. MS CHERYL HAD SOME SAMPLES OF PROTEIN POWDERS FOR EVERYONE. ANOTHER LADY (FORGIVE ME CUZ I FORGOT WHO) BROUGHT A BOTTLE OF LIQUID CALCIUM CITRATE THAT TASTED PRETTY DARN GOOD (THEY USUALLY DON'T) & MS DONA HAD AN ONLINE SITE THAT HAS CHEWABLE CALCIUM CITRATE. WE HAD 2 LADIES WHO CAME FROM WALTERBORO THAT HAVE DEDICED TO JOIN US REGULARLY. SO, COME ANYTIME YOU'RE ABLE ... BRING A FAMILY MEMBER OR FRIEND OR COME BY YOURSELF ... WE NEVER TURN ANYONE AWAY. Ann, I'm a firm believer that NOTHING happens by chance...if they postponed your surgery, it was their concern for you and your safety...and that's a good thing . Remember we are in you corner, and have been where you are about to go...ALL WILL BE FINE...so don't be scared ...I know, easier said than done uh? I'm praying that God gives you a peace that will cover all your fears, and on surgery day you will have peace of mind. Hugs, Tonya

I am sorry Ann. DId they say why? Were you sick...even a little bit? I had that happen to me one time, and already had meds...not this surgery, but a different one...and I thought, well, its all God, and His plan, not mine. Must be God, so take it at that...even though it was still a pain. Well, the 15th, is not too far away!! Take care, praying for you!! Deb
