CONGRATULATIONS You are only a few moments away from the biggest change in your life and i think everyone here would agree it is going to be the greatest!! I am in the "newbie" stages i guess you would say...trying to get everything together for insurance approval. My mother is 2 yrs out of her WLS..and she looks completely different than the MOM i was used to. Everything about her is different...and the best thing is i KNOW that she loves herself now more than she ever has before! So Ann, even though we cant physically be there when the big day comes...know in spirit we are.....routing you on , girl!!! Hope all goes well....keep us posted!!

THOSE ARE WORDS OF WISDOM, MS SHAUNA ... THAT YOUR MOM "LOVES HERSELF NOW MORE THAN SHE EVER HAS BEFORE" ... SHE SHOWED THAT BY DOING SOMETHING CORAGEOUS TO REGAIN HER HEALTH ... WHETHER IT'S DIETING, EXERCISE, WLSurgery OR SOME OTHER METHOD, WHEN WE FINALLY TAKE CONTROL, THEN WE SHOW RESPECT & LOVE TO & FOR OURSELVES! I'VE NOTICED SUCH POSITIVE DIFFERENCES IN MY WLS FRIENDS ... MORE OUTGOING, MORE POSITIVE, SMILING MORE, MORE HOPEFUL, REFINDING THEIR DREAMS ... THIS SURGERY DOES FAR MORE THAN JUST HELP US LOSE WEIGHT ... IT HELPS US REGAIN OUR DIGNITY SO WE CAN LIVE LIFE FULLY! HOW MUCH HAS SHE LOST? GLAD TO HEAR SHE CAME THROUGH THE PS PROCEDURE FINE & DANDY! GOD BLESS DAWN & NICK

Ann...I know you're probally anxious, nervous, and probally a few other things...but know that this is normal...just remember that what was...will be better, because you have decided that you are worth fighting for. You have decided that you want to be the best you can be and are willing to climb the biggest mountains to be the best. Your decision takes courage, determination, and strenghth...remember no matter what the uniformed might think...this is not the easy way out. Kudos to you sista for your strength, courage and bravery to say I want to do something for myself...BECAUSE YOU'RE WORTH IT!!! Don't you worry or fret...ANN, CELEBRATE A NEW BEGINING!!! WE'LL BE HOLDING A SPOT FOR YOU ON THE LOSERS BENCH!!!

Hi Ann! I am sure that you are a bundle of all kinds of emotions right now, I know I was until I was in the OR. But it is all well worth it. We are all here for you and if you need anything all you have to do is give a shout and we will be there. Who is doing your surgery? Good Luck on your journey! Britt
