Thinking about a TT already?

Well, I know I'm putting the cart before the horse right now..I'm almost 2 months post op, BUT: I am getting a saggy tummy already. I THOUGHT, since I didn't gain all that weight untill the last few years, had no stretch marks, that my tummy would go away and not sag like it is... Question: I had a hernia years ago from a surgery I had to remove one of my ovaries..the scar rests on the sag. It was meshed and I am wondering if, when the time comes to concider a tummy tuck, if the hernia repaired with the mesh will keep me from getting a TT???

well Janet i dont have any answers for you hun....other than my mother just had a Tummy Tuck and her arms and thighs reconstructed....she is 2 yrs out from her WLS. At the same time she had her TT..she also had a major ruptured hernia repair ....where they put screws in both hips and the mesh all the way across her abdomen. Keep in mind..she had all this at the same time done....and the recovery was a little more intense but everything went fine...and the tummy tuck works wonders. Sorry i couldnt be of more help!! shauna.......By any chance, do you know if insurance covers any part of a TT after WLS??

Janet, This has nothing to do with your post, but my email is down at home and work! How are you doing and how much have you lost?? I haven't talked to you in a while! I'm down 45. I had to talk to my doctor cause I didn't lose anything for about 3 weeks. Had to up my water to 90 oz. and add a protein drink and completely stop the carbs. Since then I've lost 8 lbs in 8 days! I READ YOUR POST, MS CRYSTAL ... WHERE YOU SAID, "COMPLETELY STOP THE CARBS" ... YOU KNOW I HIT A MAJOR STALL ... I BROKE IT BY UPPING MY PROTEINS & CALORIES, BUT THEN A WEEK LATER, I STALLED AGAIN FOR 6 DAYS & JUST BROKE THAT STALL TODAY. I GOT TO CHECKING MY PROTEIN BARS & THEY EVEN HAVE 9 CARBS (4 SUGARS) SO AFTER PAYDAY, I'M GOING TO BUY SOME PROTEIN SOURCES (SALMON & SHRIMP & EGGS, MAINLY) & WATCH "HIDDEN CARBS" THAT I WASN'T EVEN AWARE OF & SEE IF I CAN GET MY WEIGHT LOSS TO START BACK UP & STAY UP. THANKS FOR THAT BIT OF INFO ... IT NEVER OCCURRED TO ME THAT OUR PRE-PACKAGED PORTEIN PRODUCTS HAD THAT MANY CARBS ... I "KNEW" IT; I JUST DIDN'T THINK TO COUNT THEM. GOD BLESS DAWN & NICK
