I don't know about the foods but wanted to say hi to you and see how you're doing..... I just got called by Reginal Surg. WLS and I'm set up to go on Feb. 15th for the seminar .... Not feeling too good myself my PCP put me on Diovan 80mg and Welbutrin 150mg (for first week then 300 mg second week) so kinda in a yucky mood from the Diovan meds though.... *hugs* Stephie PS if you need anything yell at me since I'm not that far from you

WHAT IS DIOVAN FOR? I WAS ON WELBUTRIN XL FOR APPETITE SUPRESSENT (sp?) ... WORKED REALLY WELL, THEN THEY HAD TO TAKE ME OFF IT AS I HAD A HISTORY OF SIEZURES - NOT A GOOD COMBO. THEY PUT ME ON LEXAPRO - IT WORKED EVEN BETTER TO SUPRESS MY APPETITE. HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER! SO GLAD YOU'RE ON YOUR WAY, MS STEPHIE ... ENJOY THE SEMINAR! GOD BLESS DAWN & NICK

I was on Diovan HCT and also Toprol XL for high bloodpressure and water retention..I had swelling in my legs so that's why the HCT/Diovan mix. It helped the problems, but made me feel bad and I'm not going to say much about the lack of drive, sexually from the meds...I'm so happy to be off of all those medicines..I'm only post op 6 weeks and down 40lbs!

Some of the first few things I tried were eggs and refried beans with a little bit of cheese on them. They tasted heavenly after being on liquids for so long! Rebecca

Thanks!! I went with scrambled eggs.....well, actually 1 medium scrambled egg (with a little milk mixed in). It was awesome. I ate about 3/4 of it and was stuffed!!

Hey Dianne! I started with yogart and sf puddings and thick creamed soups. BUT mashed potatos were a God send!!! In the beginning when it is still such a struggle to get much of anything in, they are not usually so worried about carbs versus protien and fat in table foods. You are probably doing protein suppliments anyway. Hope your feeling well! Hugs back, Leisa
