my PCP today
I went to my pcp today and had the diabetic screening along with my cholestrol... I'm 109 on empty stomach and doesn't know the cholestrol yet he's sending to a lab....... he was concerned bout my bp though it was 140/102 so now I have to go back in 2 wks and have the diabetic screening redone with food in my stomach ..... and if it's still up or goes higher I'll go on meds for it..... he's going to recheck my bp and if it's still up I'll be going on meds for that as well........ I did finally tell him I was working towards having wls and he seemed to agree with the other 2 doctors that I do need it ..... anyway no wonder I feel so crappy and having alot of headaches due to the bp .....
thanks for listening
*hugs*
Stephie
YES MA'AM ... HIGH BP WILL MAKE YOUR FEEL AWFUL ... BUT, NOT TO WORRY, MS STEPHIE ... ONCE YOU GET THE WLS, IT WILL ONLY BE A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE YOU CAN KISS THOSE MEDICAL CONDITIONS "GOOD-BYE" FOREVER!
ALL MY CO-MORBS WERE GONE WITHIN 3 WEEKS OF SURGERY & MY BODY, BACK & JOINT PAIN DEMINISHED ABOUT 98% AFTER 4 WEEKS ... OFF ALL CO-MORB MEDS & PAIN KILLERS!
GOD BLESS
DAWN & NICK

The blood pressure ( in my case) will definitely bring headaches.....I had migraines since I was 15. Sometimes once a month, sometimes 3 in 4 days!! If you've ever had a migraine, you know the pain I'm talking about. In my case, the migraines were 100 times more painful than the gastric bypass. Low and behold after trying so many things, they gave me some blood pressure medication, and the migraines became fewer. I'm now a little over 5 months out and have only had one headache (not a migraine). I honestly believe the blood pressure are causing your headaches. Beg your doctor for them!!! They made a big difference for me......I believe that had me on Atenolol or soemthing to the effect of that name.
