I'M SURE GONNA GIVE IT MY BEST! WHY NO MUSCLE REPAIR? WHY FULL & THEN MINI TUMMY TUCKS? DOES THE THIGH LIFT ALSO LIFT THE BACKSIDE? NOT BAD RECOVERY TIME; I EXPECTED MORE ... ESPECIALLY WITH THE MAJOR TUMMY TUCK. THANKS & GOD BLESS DAWN & NICK

My PS told me when he got in there that I really didn't need any. I guess all that ab work (smile) and of course the fact that I've never been pregnant played a part. He told me that he could have put a stitch here or there but it wouldn't have held and I wouldn't have noticed the effects. But that's good for me anyway since I'm only 32 and if I ever decide to have children (got to find the hubby first!), my tummy muscles are normal and would expand just like they're supposed to. As for the 2 separate procedures, I still had some extra skin above the BB I wanted removed. And no, the thigh lift doesn't go for the back side. I think you have to go for a lower body lift for that or a butt lift. That I'm told can be very painful to recover from if you're cut up under your butt cheek simply because that's where you have to sit. Ouch!! And we're all different for recovery time. I had to get back to work, so forced myself there, plus live by myself, so kinda had to get back on my feet rather quickly. But it really wasn't all that bad. The first 2 days or so are always the worst. Just stay on your pain meds like clock work like the bottle says and you'll stay ahead of the pain for the most part. I will tell you that if you have the muscle repair (MR) with your TT it will add some time and pain to your recovery. Some good places to research/lurk is the plastic surgery board here on OH or I've been on the message boards on makemeheal.com more lately than here. Seems to be more active so you get lots more info. I of course would also be glad to offer any add'l info.

PRAYERS ARE COMING YOUR WAY, BUT I WILL ONLY PRAY FOR A GOOD MAN WITH A STRONG SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION (NOPE, WON'T ASK FOR TALL, DARK & HANDSOME) AS I KNOW THE PERFECT MAN WILL THEN COME INTO YOUR LIFE. Thanks for the prayers.... you and my Mom are in sync on this one! And down 149 lbs (I added to the other email). Once I hit 169 on the scales (1 pound away) I will have lost 150 and get to do my little happy dance. I'm hoping that's as soon as in the morning. Woohoo!!

Hello everyone I've been kinda lurking... my daughter was visiting me all last week from Canada. We had a wonderful visit, she's expecting my first grandbaby So this week i'm feeling the empty nest thing.. I had my surgery when i was living in Canada i couldn't get it paid so i went to Mexico to Dr. Ungson the experience was unbelievable he's a wonderful doc! I'm doing great i wouldn't mind loosing a few more pounds i guess but it's not the most important thing.. Now i can go for walks, i can go shopping, i can exercise, i can cross my legs. Yeah i have some days .. i still have fibro and OA but with all the weight off the joints and muscles i don't suffer half as much as i did! I'm not on constant pain meds and all kinds of drugs anymore!! I can't believe i fit into a size 8 now.. and last week i even got a pair of pants that are a 6 but the size 8 is more realistic!.. hmm i think there's something wrong with that! they must of changed the sizing since i was a teen or something i don't remember wearing that. Oh i and i have to say if you plateau don't get to discouraged it will start again.. i'm the queen of plateaus then for some strange reason pounds drop and there i sit again, but like everyone the last few pounds are the toughest.... but life is good on the *other* side!! Dar- You look fantastic. When i first saw your pic i thought you were like 30 something..And then when I read you are about to become a grandparent, I was WOW-SHE LOOKS GREAT! Come around more....We'd love to see you here.

HOW WONDERFUL FOR YOU TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A VISIT FROM YOUR DAUGHTER & SOON-TO-COME G'BABY! I WAS LURKING ON THE CA BOARD (I LIVED IN CA FOR 19 YEARS) & SEVERAL PEOPLE WENT TO MEXICO & SAID IT WAS LIKE A RESORT VACATION INSTEAD OF A HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE. THEY WERE THRILLED. I WATCHED A 20/20 (?) PROGRAM ABOUT SURGERIES BEING DONE IN MEXICO & INDIA FOR NORTH AMERICANS & EUROPEANS WHO DON'T WANT TO PAY OUTRAGEOUS COSTS & YET, THEY ARE RECEIVEING TOP-NOTCH CARE & ATTENTION. THE ONLY THING I WOULD WONDER IS WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG AFTER RETURNING TO THE STATES ... DID THEY HAVE A PLAN IN PLACE FOR THAT, MS DAR? ANYONE HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT PLASTICS BEING DONE IN EITHER OF THOSE 2 PLACES? (OF COURSE, OUR LCBB LADIES ALL WANT TO DECEND ON HOLLYWOOD & GET DR REY OR DR LI FROM DR 90210 ON TV TO DO OURS!!!!! Hi all! I lurk quite a lot on the main board and just discovered this board tonight. I had my RNY on November 30, 2004. I have lost 80 pounds and I have 30 more to go. I seem to loose and gain the same 5 pounds lately. Last 2 months or so I just yo yo! I need to exercise and pay more attention to what and how I eat. I plan to have a Tummy Tuck in June. I am approved but would like to loose the last 30 before I go ahead with the procedure. Life is much better since the procedure. I really enjoy my husband and 18 and 2 year old girls much more now. When you can be active with out falling out it is eaiser to have fun! I need to go to some of the support group meetings. Funny, posting now I see that I know what I need to do, but I am just not following through. Someone slap me. It is really uplifting to read your posts and see everyone's success. Keep up the great work guys! Virginia
