Ok ladies, i know it has been busy, kinda dreary, at least here in Columbia, but i miss seeing all you guys and the posts. Let's get this board rocking.... How is everyone doing with their weightloss/ or weightloss surgery journey in process? I'm doing pretty good...72 lbs down thus far, and wearing size 18's. EVERYONE raves of how good i look, slightly bringing me more attention than makes me comfortable, but i'm adapting and learning to blush, and say THANK YOU. I'm doing water aerobics 2x a wk, 50 situps a day, and walking as much as i can every day with my daughter in the stroller.. Well, hope to hear from EVERY SINGLE PERSON out here on the SC BOARD.

I noticed it has been quiet on here, so I have been posting to the main board. I am 8 weeks post-op tomorrow and I am down over 35 lbs. Tomorrow is official weigh day Carla

I KNOW!! It's been too quiet in here. I live in the boonies, between Moncks Corner and Summerville, and Goose Creek. Seems like I spend most of my time driving to civilization, but it is nice and quiet here. We live on 4 acres. I'm a multi-media artist and picture framer. Right now, I'm concentrating on jewelry, working on a WLS collection, and renovating my house - a never-ending job. I am almost 14 months out and have lost 105 lbs. I'd like to lose about 20 more, but am very happy with my progress so far. This surgery is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I've had some health and medication issues for the last 4 months, which have put me on a plateau and halted my exercise until last week. I mostly do the treadmill at the health club and the stationary bike, because of a shoulder injury. I also have a Gazelle at home, which I like. And walking, of course. I used to lift weights and loved it. So, I'm a little frustrated, but I've stuck to my plan with everything else. I'm wearing 14s and some 12s now. Some people don't even recognize me. That's a really strange experience. I get lots of compliments and that's strange too. I know what you mean, Heather. I am part of a great support group - the Low Country Bypass Buddies (LCBB) - which meets weekly in the North Charleston area. Anyone close enough should really try to make it some time. We have all kinds of people at all different stages and we have a wonderful time. We share information, laugh, complain, and commiserate. Watch for messages on this board. Anyone is welcome. Family and friends included. Even people just looking for information. It's very casual and non-intimidating -for you lurkers. I'm with Heather. It's time to hear from everybody. Has everybody gone into hibernation?? Shake it up, you guys!!

I've been hiding. I admit it. I have been in this depressed funk thinking that I was never going to get approval for my surgery. Please see above post. Sorry I missed dinner the other night. Way to go on your super progress, Heather!

I GET OFF EASY ON THIS ONE SINCE I JUST POSTED A LONG UPDATE ON BEING MEDICALLY RELEASED ... I LOST MY 1st 50 #s IN JUST 69 DAYS ... AMAZING ... &, AM NOW DOWN 57 #s WHICH IS 35% OF THE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT I WANT TO LOSE IN TOTAL. ALLLLLLLLLLLL MY CO-MORBS ARE GONE (THIS OCCURRED WITHIN THE 1st MONTH). I'M OFF 22 DOSES OF PRESCRIBED MEDICATION (12 AT 3 WEEKS FOR CO-MORBS + 10 MORE AT 4 WEEKS, WHICH WERE FOR PAIN). MY BLOOD/URINE TESTS CAME BACK NORMAL OR BETTER THAN NORMAL FOR THE 1st TIME IN DECADES. MY BLOOD PANEL WAS BETTER THAN MY OWN DOCTOR'S IS!!!! NOW THAT I'M FINALLY MEDICALLY RELEASED, I'M USING MY COMPUTERIZED RECLINE BIKE; THIS IS THE 1st TIME I'VE EXERCISED IN I CAN'T REMEMBER WHEN. I DON'T HUFF & PUFF ANY MORE ... CAN SIT CROSS-LEGGED ON THE COUCH OR BED ... AM ABLE TO BEND SO I CAN CARE FOR MY FEET OR EVEN PAINT MY TOENAILS ... CAN WEAR MY RINGS AGAIN (THEY EVEN SPIN ON MY FINGERS) ... DON'T RETAIN FLUIDS OR HAVE ANY AMOUNT OF FLUID BUILDUP BEFORE MY PERIODS ... CAN DO LIGHT TO MODERATE HOUSEWORK WHEN I COULDN'T DO ANY BEFORE ... SLEEP SO MUCH BETTER ... AM REFRESHED & WIDE AWAKE NOW WHEN I GET UP IN THE MORNING ... &, AS GOOD AS SEX WAS, IT IS AMAZING NOW BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ANY JOINT OR BACK PAIN TO ENDURE. MY BODY/JOINT/BACK PAIN IS 99% GONE!!!!!!!!! NICK & I HAVE HOPE FOR OUR FUTURE & ARE CHATTERING ABOUT DREAMS & GOALS AGAIN. WOWOW, IT GETS BETTER & BETTER EACH DAY. FOOD DOES NOT RULE MY LIFE. I CAN SIT DOWN TO ANYTHING & NOT GORGE MYSELF. I COULDN'T ASK FOR MORE FROM THIS SURGERY. IT WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST THING I'VE EVER DONE FOR MYSELF, SECOND ONLY TO MARRYING MY NICHOLAS. I'D DO IT AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT IF THAT WAS NECESSARY. GOD BLESS DAWN & NICK SW 279.80 CW 222.80 LOST 57.00 GOAL 125 - 118

You are right Heather, this Board has gotten WAY to quiet. I am not good at the long posts, but I do like to jump in. I am now 11 weeks out and down 56 lbs. I feel great about that. Some days I think - couldn't I loose a little quicker - then I think boy, be a little realistic! Susann

Hello! From Charleston SC We are building a house in Summerville, and should move in by June. I am down 80lbs...still!! and in a size 14!! I went down a size in the same weight loss!! (well, I am still losing pounds, but the doc's scales were re-calibrated, so I am inching my way back to 80 again...more like 78 really) thought I was at 80 last week! I am sick of weighing, I like the size thing now. My appetite seems to have come back this week strong, don't know why, but it better go back from where it came, I don't like it hanging around, scares me to be "hungry" Love to all! Deborah

Hi Heather and all in SC!!! Things here in the Lowcountry are going great for me. I am getting back involved with LCBB which is a wonderful thing. I have lost 80lbs since 9/12 gone from a size 28-30 to a loose 20. I feel so much healthier than I have ever felt in my life. I love going to workout, it gives me more energy and I feel guilty when I don't make it. I hope that all is well with you. Take Care, Britt
