Thursday night LCBB Question

My vote would be for MUSC, I had already planned on going since it was the night all the Doc's are supposed to come. Unfortunately I have to go to columbia for a workshop, so can't go. I wanted to tell everyone how much Rex and I enjoyed the support group last Thursday. We felt very welcome, got to learn a couple of things we had questions about and just felt comfortable, so we will come again. We've been to a couple down at MUSC and neither time was very impressive. Also (surprising to me since I didn't like cafeterias,) KW's was great!

Ok time for my blonde moment. ... Just where in MUSC do we go for the meeting? And have we decided if and where we are going somewhere afterwards?

Would anybody like to carpool down to MUSC? We could meet in the Northwoods area at a restaurant, carpool down to MUSC, and then come back and eat. We could even come back to where the regular meeting is if anyone wanted to wait for us, or meet a little later. I can fit 4 in my car. B

To phrase it more clearly, the MUSC meeting is supposed to be from 6 to 7. If we leave right after, we should get back a little after 7:30. If the regular meeting started at 6:30 or 6:45, maybe we could all get together for a little while. Just a suggestion. I realize it changes everything around for everybody. B

BUT, OTHERS AT THE LCBBuddies MEETING COULD GO AHEAD & EAT IF THEIR SCHEDULE DIDN'T PERMIT THEM TO STAY LATE. SO, LET ME KNOW IF IT'S OK WITH EVERYONE TO START A LITTLE LATER JUST FOR THIS WEEK. I planned on finally attending the LCBB meeting this week for the first time and just got the email from MUSC and was wondering what LCBB's were going to do..... now I have no clue what to do. Please let me know if there is going to be a LCBB meeting so I can figure out what to do. I am ready to meet everyone but would also like to go ask all my questions at MUSC but if the MUSC meetings aren't so great, maybe I am not interested. Thanks, Theresa Zimmerman

Hi Theresa - This state of confusion is normal for us. We usually all put our 2 cents in about where to meet up until Wednesday or so, unless somebody has their surgery in the upcoming week and we let them choose their send-off location. Then Susann (our fearless leader) makes a decision and contacts everyone with the final details. I think this is the first time we've considered trying to coordinate the local and MUSC meetings. Some people always go to MUSC and others never go. We've agreed that there will always be a local meeting, unless there's an emergency. I am one of the ones who usually doesn't go down to MUSC and will stand in for Susann when she goes downtown, but it sounds like it will be a great session this time. I guess we should make a plan for this, since it happens every month. It looks like this weeks' LCBB meeting will be at the North Towne, with Lady D and Nick as Hostess and Host. I just raised the point that we might think about changing the time. I thought it would be nice if we could all still see each other for a little while and the MUSCers would have info to share. If it throws things too late , we'll just share it the next time. Looking forward to meeting you. B
