Short term disability finally came through -- and I joined a gym!
Just when I was ready to give up, they approved my short term disability. I had to jump through LOTS of hoops, and drive all over the place getting records from doctors and filling out forms.... They were DETERMINED to prove that I was treated for obesity between 17 November 2004 and 17 April 2005, but had to finally give up because (as I told them from the beginning) I wasn't. I'm told that I'll get a check tomorrow, but I guess that'll be Tuesday since tomorrow's a holiday.
In other news, I joined a gym! Ladies' Choice (it's the closest to where I live). The first day, I walked a mile on the treadmill in half an hour; the second, a mile and a half! I'm pretty proud, though I know that's not impressive for most people, but I've been so sedentary for so long it's a big thing for me.
Now, if I could just remember to drink my protein.....

WAY TO GO MS MERLON & MR SOLAR!!!!!!!!!! WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT IN THE GYM! I BET YOU ARE NOT ONLY FEELING BETTER ABOUT YOURSELVES ON THIS JOURNEY ... BUT, FEELING BETTER PHYSICALLY!
I AM ANXIOUS FOR DOC TO RELEASE ME TO BE ABLE TO EXERCISE. I CAN FEEL MY MUSCLES GETTING WEAKER AS I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO DO MUCH OF ANYTHING DURING THESE LAST 6 WEEKS ADJUSTING & READJUSTING TO THE MEDS. I GO BACK FRIDAY FOR HIM TO EVALUATE THIS LATEST CHANGE IN MY HEART MEDS, SO MAYBE THEN!!!!
GOD BLESS
DAWN & NICK
