Treatment of Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction after Gastric Bypass?

I am looking for anyone that has been treated for SOD after their gastric bypass. I had my gallbladder removed 10/28/05 - I had elevated liver enzymes for my 1 1/2 year check-up, so the surgeon had an ultrasound scheduled and discovered my gallbladder was compacted with stones. I have had pain attacks for years that other docs have blown off as abdominal muscle spasms (female hypochondria more like it). I had 4 attacks before my surgery and have had three since the gallbladder was removed, each associated with elevated liver enzymes (about 10 times normal). The GI doc has ruled out hepatitis and other stones, so he thinks it is SOD and is going to send me to MUSC in Charleston, SC for treatment with a GI specialist. Since they can't perform the ERCP on a gastric bypass patient as far as my current doc knows, what will be the treatment options for me as a post-gastric bypass patient? Any help would be appreciated. Everything I have read so far is discouraging.

I'M SORRY TO SAY THAT I DON'T HAVE AN ANSWER FOR YOU, BUT IF THE SPECIALIST YOU SEE IS EVEN HALF AS GOOD AS THE SURGEON (DR THOMAS K BYRNE) I HAD FOR MY WLSurgery WHICH WAS PERFORMED AT MUSC, THEN HE'LL BE ABLE TO HELP YOU. I'VE HEARD ONLY GOOD REPORTS FROM OTHERS WHO HAVE GONE TO MUSC, SO I'LL SAY A PRAYER THAT YOUR OUTCOME IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST ... MUCH, MUCH BETTER THAN YOU ARE EXPECTING, MS RACHEL.
