I have been trying to work on behavior modification and came across the idea of smaller plates to work on portion control and somewhere else, I read about making each meal a celebration, so I got the prettiest little plates I could find! My DH has been teasing me and said he was gonna go and get my childhood china tea set out of the closet and wa**** up for my first days eating cause it is pretty and very small, plates are smaller than a saucer!! and the cups hold about 1/8th c. He has been joking about us "playing house" and having our dinner at the table with a candle and the tea set!! I'm gonna have to remind him to quit the jokes for a week or so after surgery so I don't "bust a stitch" Hee Hee!! Patty

OUR NUTRITIONIST MENTIONED USING THE SMALL BREAD SAUCERS, ETC ... ACTUALLY, I USE THOSE TINY PLASTIC REFRIGERATOR STORAGE BOWLS (WITH THE BLUE LIDS) AS I'M STILL NOT ABLE TO EAT MORE THAN ABOUT 2-3 OUNCES OF SOMETHING SOFT AT A TIME. SO, HUBBY ISN'T FAR OFF WHEN HE TEASES YOU THAT HE'S GONNA FEED YOU ON YOUR TINY TEA SET. IT'S GREAT TO HEAR THAT THE 2 OF YOU ARE JOKING & HAVING A GREAT TIME WITH THIS JOURNEY! THAT HELPS SOOO MUCH ... TO HAVE A SUPPORTIVE SPOUSE. THE BEST ITEM NICK GOT ME, MS PATTY, WAS A FOOD SCALE. I MEASURE IN MEASURING CUPS OR FOR SOLIDS LIKE FISH, I USE THE FOOD SCALE AS I COULDN'T VISUALLY JUDGE WHAT 2 OUNCES LOOKED LIKE. I STILL DO THAT. WHEN I DON'T, I ALWAYS TAKE TOO MUCH FOOD. OH YEAH, A MAGIC BULLET OR BLENDER IS ALSO VERY HELPFUL! GOD BLESS Y'ALL DAWN & NICK
