LCBB Thursday night meeting

Hi everyone. This week's LCBB meeting will be at Jason's Deli in Northwoods Mall (next to the book store). We will meet at 5:45 to allow for traffic. Please let me know if you will be there! This is supposed to be Kylee's "last supper" but as you can see from the message board, she is having some problems with approval, soooo it will just have to be a support session for Kylee!!! Susann

I will definitly be there. Hubby and kids in tow more than likely. He is really looking forward to getting to meet everyone since I have tod them how great you all are already. Even with my insurance probs .. I'm not about to give up just yet!

"OBESITY" IS A GOOD ENOUGH REASON AS FAR AS TRI CARE IS CONCERNED ... 100 #s OVERWEIGHT OR MORE EVEN WITH NO CO-MORBS. A GOOD THING TO HAVE IS A "LETTER OF MEDICAL NECESSITY" FROM YOU PCM. SOMETHING IS MIGHTY FISHY AS TRI CARE PRIME HAS ALWAYS POSTED ALL NICK'S & MY AUTHORIZATIONS & DENIALS ON THEIR WEBSITE, WHICH WE CAN ACCESS ANYTIME &, &, &, THEY HAVE ALWAYS FOLLOWED UP WITHIN A WEEK WITH A LETTER OF APPROVAL OR DENIAL IN THE MAIL. BTW MS KYLEE, DIDN'T YOU SAY YOU HAD A BMI OF OVER 50? SO DID I & THAT PUTS YOU IN THE HIGHEST RATING THERE IS FOR OBESITY ... SUPER MORBIDLY OBESE ... WHICH TRI CARE TAKES INTO ACCOUNT WHEN APPROVING!

Yes mam! It's 50.3 to be exact. Which is why I knew something was up when she told me I was denied due to no Comorbidities. According to tricare, if you are 200% of your ideal body weight and I am 216% then they don't require anything else. Though if you want to get technical, Tricare also accepts family history for comorbids, of which I have an extensive history, including severe diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, heart disease, etc and that is merely my mother. She has always joked that she takes so many pills she rattles when she walks!. That was one of the main reason I decided to go this route so I don't end up like that. I have seen too many people in my family go downhill cause of obesity and I'm not about to follow them I have to thank everyone here for all the support, at first I felt completely defeated but with time and encouragement I am now ready to do what ever I need to do to realise this. Everyone here are already andgels in my book Thanks!!!

Jim and I won't be there this week. Our church is putting on a semi-formal dinner for all their voluteers. We are going to go to that. Hopefully we or I will be there next week. Wendy
