I'M NEVER HUNGRY; I'M NEVER FULL. CLEAR FLUIDS SEEM TO RUN RIGHT THROUGH ME & NOT SIT IN MY POUCH. ACTUALLY, I'D BE THRILLED IF I NEVER GET MY APPETITE BACK. I CAN EAT & ENJOY THE FLAVOR NOW ... & NOT HAVE ANY DESIRE TO OVEREAT. I EAT PER AMOUNT NOW ... I WEIGH & MEASURE EVERYTHING. MY SURGEON MADE MY POUCH EXTRA SMALL. WHERE MOST POUCHES ARE THE SIZE OF A SMALL EGG, MINE IS ONLY ABOUT 1/2 THAT SIZE. I TRIED LIVERWURST FOR THE 1st TIME. I THOUGHT LIVERWURST WAS 100% MEAT, JUST IN A SPREAD TEXTURE. I ATE A LITTLE ... WAITED ... ATE A LITTLE MORE ... WAITED ... NO PROBLEM, SO I FINISHED MY PORTION. NO PROBLEM UNTIL ABOUT 45 MINUTES TO AN HOUR LATER WHEN I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA DIE!!!! NO NAUSEA OR VOMITING ... JUST FELT SO FULL, I THOUGHT MY POUCH WOULD POP (EVEN THOUGH I ATE THE "RIGHT" AMOUNT). I CHECKED MY BOOK THAT GIVES THE BREAKDOWN OF FOODS & FOUND OUT THAT LIVERWURST HAS 12 CARBS IN IT- I'M ON A NO/LOW CARB DIET ... LIKE A 2nd STAGE ATKINS, SO MY SUGAR SPIKED & SLAMMED DOWN & I ALMOST PASSED OUT FROM THE EXTREMES ... TO BED I WENT & IT TOOK ABOUT 12 HOURS BEFORE MY SUGAR & MY POUCH WERE SOMEWHAT BACK TO NORMAL. LESSON LEARNED ... I CHECK MY FOOD BREAKDOWN BOOK BEFORE I EAT ANYTHING ... EVEN IF I "THINK" I KNOW WHAT IT'S MADE OF. MY "POUCH" HAS BEEN TEMPERAMENTAL ALL WEEKEND SINCE THAT EPISODE ... &, IT'S STILL LETTING ME KNOW IT'S A BIT UPSET WITH ME EVEN TODAY. IT SEEMS THE LIVERWURST WAS TERRIBLY HARD FOR MY SYSTEM TO DIGEST & WHEN IT MADE IT'S ARRIVAL TO THE POT, IT WAS LIKE GLUE ... SO IT HAS REALLY STRESSED MY ENTIRE TRACT. LEARN FROM ME ... CHECK THE INGREDIENTS IN ANYTHING & EVERYTHING YOU EAT BEFOREHAND!!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK

Hello... Yep you will learn as you go... Their seems to be a good learning curve with this surgery... I had a few of those type of episodes before i learned... But it will get easier with time .. You also will learn what will agree with you... Because what may agree with some will not agree with others... You just have to just keep testing things and see what your pouch likes.... Brenda..

WHEWWWWWWWW, THAT WAS ONE UGLY LESSON, MS BRENDA ... THING IS, I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING "WRONG" BUT MY POUCH IS DEFINITELY IN CONTROL WHEN IT COMES TO WHAT GOES IN MY MOUTH & WHAT DOESN'T, "RIGHT" OR "WRONG". THIS EVENING IS THE 1st TIME I FEEL LIKE I AM OVER THAT SITUATION & IT HAPPENED LAST FRIDAY AFTERNOON ... ALMOST 3 DAYS OF THE "YUCKS"! YOU'RE RIGHT ABOUT IT BEING DIFFERENT FOR EACH OF US ... ANOTHER WLS FRIEND OF MINE JUST THRIVES ON LIVERWURST. I'LL JUST PASS, THANK YOU!!!!!! IS IT A POSSIBILITY THAT FURTHER OUT, MY POUCH WILL BE ABLE TO TOLERATE LIVERWURST OR SOME OTHER FOOD IT DOESN'T LIKE NOW ... OR, SHOULD I JUST WRITE THOSE FOODS OFF MY MENU FOREVER? YUP, THIS IS A REALLY GOOD BOARD, MS TONYA. IT MAY NOT BE AS ACTIVE AS OTHERS, BUT I THINK IT IS FANTASTIC BECAUSE OF THE SPECIAL PEOPLE ON IT. THERE'S ONE BOARD I'M THINKING ABOUT LEAVING BECAUSE ALL IT IS GETTING TO BE IS WHINING & COMPLAINING. YOU WON'T GET THAT HERE. EVERYONE SUPPORTS ONE ANOTHER & IF THERE IS A PROBLEM, THEY JUMP IN & TRY TO HELP THAT PERSON GET PAST WHATEVER IT IS. GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK

I WAS SICK FOR 3 DAYS ON IT. YUCK!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS MY OWN FAULT FOR NOT CHECKING THE INGREDIENTS BEFORE I ATE IT; I JUST ASSUMED IT WAS 100% MEAT (PROTEIN) ... I SURE DON'T ASSUME ANY MORE, MS KELLY! ... THAT'S FOR SURE!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK

Yeah, same here, I'll pass on the liverwurst, but if it is something you like i hope your body will tolerate it later on for you. I am glad you are feeling better and I am glad you aren't feeling CRAPPY still...
