Hi Heather, My name is Tonya and I am begining my wls journey. No date yet but I'm working on it. (Please check out my profile) I read your profile and was excited to see that you are a military wife. I'm the wife of a now retired military man who served his country for 22 yrs. He also served in Iraq during Desert Storm, so I can relate to what it must be like to be seperated from him at this trying time for our soldiers. You all will be in my prayers . Congrats on your wls. I'm so excited for you and your family. After all a healthier you will benefit all who love you. Let me know how your water aerobics go. that might be something I would like to try in the future. I also hope you get to see your man soon. Won't he be surprised Tonya (Greenville, SC)

Good morning Heather.... Sounds like you are doing pretty good today. I am doing well too. As you know, I haven't had my sugery yet. I am scheduled to have a filter put in place on Jan. 4th and have surgery on Jan. 10th. I am excited and still nervous. I guess if I wasn't nervous then there would be something really wrong with me!!!! How do I feel right now...I am tired of being tired. I don't sleep well , I run out of engery too quickly, and can't keep up with my kids . I am ready to start the losing journey!!!! I know you can't wait to see your hubby... I am sure he can't wait to see you either!!!! DH and I are looking forward to starting this journey together... --Kelly

OH GEEEEZZZZZZZZZZ, MS KELLY, THERE'S "SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME" (WELL, WE ALREADY KNEW THAT!) CUZ I DIDN'T HAVE ONE MOMENT OF BEING NERVOUS OR SCARED OR FEARFUL OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. EVER SINCE I STARTED THIS JOURNEY BY RESEARCHING IT WITH MY HUSBAND, I HAVE BEEN WALKING IN THE CLOUDS, I HAVE BEEN SO HAPPY & EXPECTING NOTHING BUT THE BEST TO COME MY WAY THROUGH WLS. YEAH, I'M THE ODDBALL OUT BUT THAT'S OK CUZ EVERY GROUP HAS TO HAVE ONE OF "ME"!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK

Hi Heather, My husband and I had surgery in August 2005. His was on August 3, and mine was on August 26. He has lost 45 pounds and I have lost 40 pounds. We both feel great. I don't have very much of an apetite, and my husband has a normal apetite. Usually he wants to eat more than 3 ounces. It is harder for him to stick to a small meal. We are so very glad that we made this decision together. We walk some evenings for exercise. Mentally in the begining I felt a little down because I could not enjoy any food that I ate. Now I can enjoy the small amount that I eat and everything is okay now.

I JUST LOOKED BACK & MY RETURN POST DIDN'T SHOW UP ... I GUESS MS SUSANN HAS BEEN BUSY SNATCHING POSTS OFF THE BOARD ... SHE'S THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS SAID THAT POSTS GO MISSING RIGHT BEFORE HER EYES!!!! THINK WE NEED TO TALK TO HER DR & REQUEST A COPY OF HER PSYCH EVAL? ANYWAY ... A GREAT BIGGGGGGGGGG "CONGRATS" TO BOTH OF YOU ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSSES. I WAS WONDERING ... IS MASTER SOLAR EATING 3 MEALS OR 6? MAYBE IF HE ATE 6 SMALLER MEALS, THEN HE WOULDN'T BE AS HUNGRY SINCE HE WOULD BE FEEDING HIS POUCH EVERY 2 HOURS INSTEAD OF HAVING TO WAIT SO LONG BETWEEN MEALS. I BET THAT IS REALLY COOL TO DO THIS TOGETHER & BE ABLE TO SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER. EVERY DECISION IS THE SAME SINCE YOU ARE ON THE SAME JOURNEY ... THAT'S SO MUCH EASIER THAN ONE SPOUSE EATING ONE TYPE OF THING & THE OTHER BEING ON THE WLS DIET. NICK IS CHANGING A LOT OF WHAT HE EATS AT HOME WHICH MAKES IT EASIER. GOD BLESS Y'ALL DAWN & NICK

Good Morning! 9 months out and feeling fine! Over the weekend my mother -in- law gave me two big boxes of clothes that she "undergrew". (Unfortunatley her weight loss has been due to Cancer TX but she is doing fine and does not plan to gain the weight back.) It amazes me how excited I still get everytime I put on new clothes and something actually fits!!! There were even a few things that were too Big!! I still call my grandmother in FL and we celebrate the pretty new stuff and how doggone fantastic I look in them!!!! (Of course she has to take my word for it). Amoung the best things that I have gained from this journey are the new friendships from those I have met on this one and the main board. Thanks for all the support!!! Who's next???? Come on ya'll... let us here from you! Leisa

WLS = 10/28/2005 - 17 DAYS POST-OP - LOST 27 #s FOREVER!!!!!!! ATE SOMETHING THIS WEEKEND THAT DEFINITELY DIDN'T AGREE WITH ME SO FEELING A LITTLE UNDER THE WEATHER AS MY POUCH IS BEING TEMPERAMENTAL ... A LITTLE TIRED ... BUT, NOT BAD. EMOTIONALLY, I'M HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY AS USUAL & STILL BELIEVE THAT THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE FOR MYSELF!!!!!!!!! SURPRISES (I ADDED THIS SUBJECT, MS HEATHER): I CAN TWIRL MY WEDDING RINGS AROUND MY FINGER ... MY BOOBS DON'T OVERFLOW MY BRA SO I JUST FOUND OUT I HAVE AN ACUTAL UPPER CHEST (WITH BONES & EVERYTHING) THAT AREN'T PART OF MY BODACIOUS TA-TAs!!!!!!!! I USED TO WEAR A VERY STRETCHED OUT 26-28 PANT ... SO, WHAT IS THAT? A 30-32 (IS THERE SUCH A SIZE?) I JUST GOT INTO A 22-24 FO THAT IS A 2-PANT SIZE LOSS ... MY TRIPLE CHIN LOOKS MORE LIKE A SMALL DOUBLE CHIN & NICK SAYS MY FACE IS NO LONGER SWOLLEN & PUFFY LOOKING ... WHEN NICK HUGS ME, HE SAYS HE CAN "FEEL" HOW MUCH WEIGHT I'VE LOST ALREADY. AAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS Y'ALL DAWN & NICK

Hi all. I am having surgery on November 29th! Only 15 days away! I am feeling very excited but a little nervous about the ordeal. I normally don't bite my nails, but I have been lately. I hope the anxiety passes. I have never had any surgery, not even a broken bone! Pray for me. God bless you all! Carla
