Hello and date.

Just wanted to say hey to everyone on here. My name is Kylee and I am just completely thrilled because my date is on Dec 5th! just 3 weeks from monday and actually the day before my son's 2nd BDAY!! We are just going to velebrate his bday on saturday the 10th. But what better time to have my surgery since I want to be a healthier mom for my kids? As of right now, they just finished up with my psych stuff so the letter should be going early next week and from what tricare has told me I'll have my answer 24-72 hours laters. Anyway I just wanted to drop in say hey and stop lurking. Anyway .. Can't waitto talk to ya'll soon . Kylee

Congratulations!!!!. I am so excited for you, what a wonderful Christmas present. I had my surgery six weeks ago, there were a few rough days, but its the best thing I have ever done. What a wonderful present to give you children, a healthy and active mom. Good Luck and just ask if you need anything Mary

Thanks i am really excited. Though I think up until it actually ahppens I am still going to have that sinking feeling that something is going to happen and I'm not going to get to have the surgery. Sounds silly I know. but hey.. what can I say. LOL I just can't wait to be on the losing side!

Congratulations Kylee. I just had my surgery on 11/4 and can honestly say it wasn't as bad as I had invisioned in my mind. You are doing the right thing now, I wish I had had this option 20 years ago! Susann

Thanks and that is good to know. caus ethe closer it gets the more freaked out I am getting. Course this is a HUGE step, but it's something that I have been researching for a long time and really feel is going to give me achance to be a healthier person. I want to be able to enjoy playing with my kids while they are still young, with out being winded.

Hi Kylee, Congratulations on your up going surgery! It is always good to hear about another person on their way to a new and healthier way of life. I know you must be excited about this whole process, and maybe a little nervous about it. Well a bunch of us that have had the surgery in recent months and one person surgery coming up on the 22nd on November, we all meet once a week for support, and discussion. We would love to have you join us. Just check the South Carolina board each week for LCBB meeting. We have several people from Goose Creek. Hope to see you there. Merlon

Thank you. I am very excited. I would love to get together at one of the meetings. I think it would do me a lot of good to get to meet others that have gone down this path. One can never have too much support right. I look forward to meeting everyone.

Thank you so very much Lady D. I am happy to get a welcome from you. I have been personally following your progress. I was even praying for you when you went in for your surgery! I just can't believe just by reading about eveyone's journey's, I have learned so much and I feel like I already know so much about everyone! I just may be ablet to join everyone Thursday , My hubby is taking the day off to take me to the Nutrition course so we shoudln't have any trouble making it to the support group. I won't be able to make it to every Thursday considering hubby uses the truck for work and I don't trust my car that much at the moment It would mean a lot to me to meet everyone. I will be comtacting Susann, thank you for the information. It's greatly appreciated.
