Hi Heather. I am glad you started this post. I would like to know what people out there have tried and liked. I don't want to buy a bunch of stuff that I am not going to like. Could everyone also add where to get free samples. Thanks Only 3 weeks until my surgery! I am so excited!!! Carla

THE ONLY ONES I HAVE TRIED ARE ... ISOPURE ... I LIKE MOST OF THEM & WOULD BUY THEM AGAIN, BUT MY FAV IS PINEAPPLE/ORANGE/BANANA - ALL OF THE ISOPURE DRINKS ARE "DRY" LIKE A DRY WINE SO SOME PEOPLE ARE PUT OFF BY THAT. SO, **** ISOPURE - PINEAPPLE/ORANGE/BANANA PROTICA PROFECT ... I HAVEN'T TRIED GRAPEFRUIT/MANGO YET, BUT I AGREE WITH HEATHER, I'D BUY THE REST AGAIN. PROTICA HAS A SYRUPY TEXTURE & IS VERY SWEET. SO, **** PROTICA PROFECT - COOL MELON SPLASH, BLUE RASPBERRY SWIRL & FRESH CITRUS BERRY NOW FOR MY F-A-V-O-R-I-T-E HIGH PROTEIN ITEM ... STALLONE HIGH PROTEIN PUDDINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! **********CHOCOLATE, VANILLA & BANANA********** GOD BLESS Y'ALL & HAPPY EATING! DAWN & NICK

I GET MINE FROM "THE VITAMIN SHOPPE", MS KELLY. THEY HAVE STORES & SELL ONLINE. THE COOL THING WITH THEM IS THAT AT THE END OF THE YEAR, THEY ADD UP YOUR PURCHASES & YOU GET A CREDIT/DISCOUNT TO USE THE NEXT YEAR. I IMAGINE GNC HAS THEM AS WELL, BUT VITAMIN SHOPPE HAS SOOOOOOOO MUCH WLS STUFF, THAT I JUST LIKE TO GO THERE. bariatriceating.com HAS PUDDINGS AS WELL. THEY AREN'T THE STALLONE BRAND, BUT I ASSUME THEY WOULD BE JUST AS GOOD. THERE IS ONE OTHER FLAVOR - LEMON - IN THE STALLONE PUDDINGS THAT I HAVE TRIED. IT'S OK BUT VERY MILD & I LIKE INTENSE FLAVORS. I ALSO LIKE THE FEELING OF SUBSTANCE WHEN I EAT THEM, THEY GO DOWN SO EASY & THEY FILL YOU UP NICELY. THE TEXTURE IS CREAMY. I'M GOING TO KEEP THEM & PROTICA AT THE HOUSE NO MATTER WHAT SO THAT LONG-TERM, I ALWAYS HAVE A PROTEIN SOURCE IF I FIND MYSELF IN A BIND, LIKE OUT SHOPPING, THEN I WON'T BE TEMPTED/FORCED TO CHEAT. HOPE YOU ENJOY THEM AS MUCH AS I DO. GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK

I really like ProComplex that you get from GNC. I use the chocolate flavor and mix with skim milk. For newer post-ops you may have to modify the serving size, but I mix almost 2 scoops with 12 oz of milk. 55 grams of protein in the powder plus what you get from the milk. A little tip I learned somewhere along the way..... put some dry, sugar-free, fat-free instant pudding mix in the shake mix and it gives it a different flavor. I don't do this often, but it can be quite yummy. I also like the following protein bars: Luna, Zone, Hershey's SmartZone (or something like that). I just got clued in recently to the Zone protein bars and I've tried a lot of the flavors and have liked them all. They have like 19 grams of protein. Now that I've been consistently getting in my protein, noticed a decline in my hair loss (yes ladies, hair loss at 2 years out still!! ugh!)

I was turned on to this one by a lady on the over 50 board!! It is Amino Infusion 5000 Liquid by Sci Fit. http://www.vitalady.com/products-protein-scifit.htm They have 3 flavors; Grape, Rasberry, and Fruit Punch. She said she just had her's in water, but I prefer to add a little extra flavor to them. I use Crystel Light or Koolaid w/ Splenda and add the liquid protien in. I really like them, They are not thick like the shakes, they are thin like water. I have been known to drink a glass of the protien and Crystel Light with my dinner. I hear a lot of people's taste change after surgery, so I will see if I still like it as well then! Patty
