Is this normal
let me preface this by saying I know all people are different!! ANd i know sometimes people who have lots more weight to lose it comes off faster, but I am a little frustrated in my weight loss.
I have lost 26.5 lbs as of this past monday in one month.
80% of that was in the first 2 weeks...It seems to be SO SLOWLY in losing..
I"m walking, and being very active. And as you post op newbies know, eating hardly nothing, and i'm doing all the protein and vitamins..
CAN SOMEONE HELP---
I'm very discouraged..
Don't be discouraged. I heard that it is better for you to lose slowly and it is supposed to be better to keep it off. 26.5 lbs in one month is awesome. If I remember correctly from weigh****chers. about 10 lbs a month (give or take a few) is good. So 26.5 lbs is awesome. Your body might be trying to adust to the weight loss and trying to hold onto your body fat thinking it might be going through a famine.
Hope this helps. It does get better. Some months are good, some are ok, some not so good, and some are awesome.
Talk to you later.

Yes, that is normal. Just keep on doing what you are doing. It is very discouraging to slow down but at long as you are losing weight and not gaining I think it's a good thing. I lost three pounds this week. Now my first couple of weeks out I was losing three pounds a day. It has taken me a while to get comfortable with not losing as much but you keep on pressing on.
Hello Heather... It is very normal for the weight loss to slow about this time in your process....It will pick up soon... Try to stay off of the scales if you can.. When the weight loss slows down is when we seem to lose more inches...Just try to stay positive and keep doing what you are doing...Make sure you are eating enough .. sometimes our body will go into starvation mode and it makes it hard to lose... So make sure you are eating enough... It will get easier with time... I hope you have a good weekend... Brenda...
YOU'RE DOING PERFECTLY, MS HEATHER ... 25-30 #s IS NORMAL FOR THE 1st MONTH ...
DON'T FORGET, AS SOON AS YOUR BODY LOSES A LARGE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT, IT TAKES A "REST" ... IT HAS TO "CATCH UP" WITH THE WEIGHT LOSS & DURING THAT TIME, YOU WILL LOSE INCHES. CHECK YOUR MEASUREMENTS OR THE NEXT SMALLEST CLOTHES TO SEE IF YOU ARE CLOSE TO GETTING INTO THEM.
I LOOKED AT YOUR PROFILE WEIGHT POST & I THINK YOU ARE RIGHT ON TRACK, SWEETIE.
GOD BLESS
