I posted this on the main board but would love to hear about what you have noticed I am 35 days out from my surgery and have lost 32.5 pounds. I was driving to work this morning and was thinking of the little things that make my life better already. 1. It is so much easier to buckle my son into his booster seat. 2. I have several inches now between my stomach and the steering wheel. 3. I am not tired all of the time. 4. I don't even have the urge to eat an entire box of little Debbie Swiss Rolls. 5. I am enjoying walking and working in my yard again. 6. I have a smile on my face most of the time 7. My husband is MUCH more attentive already. 8. I have a choice of outfits that I had outgrown, not the same two pair of pants that I was constantly wearing. I would love to hear this small things that you noticed at first. Mary

The ability to shop in ANY store and know that I can find something to fit is a BIG little thing!!! One truly little thing to most people who have never had a weight problem is that I can now cross my legs! I can cross them comfortably and easily and leave them that way for an extended period. I lost the ability somewhere around 200 lbs but that I can do it again, I feel so much more feminine. Leisa

OOOHHHHH, GOOD IDEA/LIST, MS MARY ... BEING ONLY 7 DAYS OUT, I DON'T HAVE MANY, BUT ... 1. THE DESIRE TO EAT IS NOT INCORPORATED INTO EVERYTHING I DO ... ACTUALLY, I HAVE NO DESIRE TO EAT ... FOR THE 1st TIME IN MY LIFE - IT'S WONDERFUL NOT TO BE "CONTROLLED" BY FOOD ANY LONGER. 2. NICK & I SEEM TO HAVE CHANGED OUR CHIT CHAT FROM WHAT RESTUARANT WE WILL GO TO ... TO WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO TOGETHER! 3. NICK IS NOW WATCHING HIS FOOD CHOICES BETTER WHICH IS SUPERB AS HE HAS DIABETES. BECAUSE OF THIS, IT WILL MAKE MY DECISIONS EASIER AS WELL BECAUSE WE'RE BOTH ON THE SAME PAGE = EATING TO LIVE, NOT LIVING TO EAT. 4. MY MIND IS NON-STOP ON ALL THE THINGS I "WANT" TO DO vs "HAVE" TO DO ... BEFORE, EVERYTHING FELT LIKE A "HAVE" TO CHORE ... NOW, I "WANT" TO DO ANYTHING & EVERYTHING AS THE PAIN IN MY BODY DEMINISHES! GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK
